I want to memorialize a list of games that EA produced in their "Quality" era, before that goes away.  Add to the list, here is what I can come up with, I know I am forgetting some:

Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure
Brutal Legend
Mirror's Edge

Battlefield 1943 (Added by Raggs)

Boom Blox (added by Yoda)

Bad Company 2 (added by Raggs)

Dead Space Extraction
Dead Space

Dragon Age (Added by Raggs)

Mass Effect 2 (Added by Raggs)

Army of Two

Not sure exactly how you're defining this, but at the least Boom Blox qualifies

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile

I agree.  It was a new IP that was original.

I think they've taken a remarkably 'hands off' approach with BioWare.  Dragon Age is a really high quality game, and it sounds like Mass Effect 2 is as well.

Even when not making new IPs, they are doing great stuff lately.  Battlefield 1943 and Bad Company 2 are certainly worth some recognition.  BF1943 is an amazing game, especially for $15, and Bad Company 2 is better than any shooter on the market.  EA has done a lot to redeem themselves in my eyes.
Now Playing: King's Bounty, Demon's Souls, BF1943
Now Listening: Karl Blau- Zebra, Atlas Sound- Logos

Need a sports title - NHL , Tiger woods and/or Fifa and maybe Burnout?  And myself I'd take extraction off.

FIFA09 for actually being a big step forwards.

Same goes for NHL08 or was it 09? I'm not sure.

Meh... I dunno.  They kinda really dropped the ball on that one.

Yeah. but annual sports games are the norm for EA.  I wanted a list of games that took them out of their sports / sequel / licensed rut.

Yeah, but it predates their "flirting with disaster" period.  Because Will Wright was still there they would have let him make Spore.

It's less of a rut if the games are recycled, though?

I meant not recycled, heh.

So take FIFA 09 for example. It was completely different to any previous FIFA. It was less evolution and more complete revolution. Now naturally they'll just continue evolving it for awhile, but you may as well give credit where it's due.

Well, if we're really looking for quality  games to memorialize this period  I would feel more comfortable with tiger woods wii, that has moved forward golf games rather than extraction which is going back to rail shooters and does nothing that could have been done before.

And sports games are not always just updating rosters.

^Oh I know that, I'm a huge sports game fan.  What I was looking though for is a list of games that can be used that for a period, EA was taking creative risks by releasing games that were not consistent with their publishing history.  And FIFA 09 and 10 are excellent examples of that.
