Yeah. but annual sports games are the norm for EA. I wanted a list of games that took them out of their sports / sequel / licensed rut.

Yeah, but it predates their "flirting with disaster" period. Because Will Wright was still there they would have let him make Spore.

I meant not recycled, heh.
So take FIFA 09 for example. It was completely different to any previous FIFA. It was less evolution and more complete revolution. Now naturally they'll just continue evolving it for awhile, but you may as well give credit where it's due.
