My thoughts exactly. It looks good, but WW already looked good. It looks only moderately better than WW looks on my HDTV in 480p right now. It looks like WW running on a emulator with a high resolution selected. Basically, they just want us to pay sixty dollars for Wind Waker. Mario looks nothinbg like I expected, I KNOW it will be fun, but it's not what i expected from next gen Mario after Galaxy. Ins ome ways it looks worse than galaxy.

Well they promised New Mario, new Mario Kart, new Smash, Wind Waker, X and they did it, added some Bayonetta 2 and DKC. You can't say it's nothing, but DKC and Smash look like Wii games. Maybe they are rushing them out because 3rd parties are not filling in the gaps? Mario Kart 8 looks waaaaaaaaaaaay better than Mario Kart Wii graphically and the tracks and features look top notch too.

Yeah I need to see this Mario game properly. Sucks that the feed was so crappy, this year has been totally asstastic for internet video. The few brief seconds of Mario U looked like a 3DS game.

I did notice some of the lighting from the new screenshots, otherwise it looked pretty much like GC HD. Will need to see some comparison pics, with WW people always remember it as better than it actually is - thinking it's better than Skyward sword etc.
So Smash Brothers and new 3D Mario. Was anyone here actually expecting anything more? Pretty much what I was anticipating. Oh, and a new Donkey Kong. That's one more thing than I was expecting. So they outdid my expectations. Plus Mario kart.
Mario video made me feel better but still. Should be great.
Nintendo is clearly sharing the same engines across Wii, 3DS, and Wii U....no doubt about it. Otherwise the games wouldn't look 2 generations behind Xenoblade 2.
At least Bayonetta looks good. 
Thanks Leo, that Mario 3D World trailer may not look next gen, but it does look fucking fun. I love that they brought back Peach as a playable, it's like a throwback to Mario Bros. 2, well, the non-Japan version anyway. But I just can't justify the cost of the system at this time. Maybe the price cut is being saved for late this year? But can they really tolerate 30k sales a month until then?? This was their chance to really turn it around and create some buzz.

YES. Metroid for one! A Mario game that would be revolutionary in some way, something Galaxy level but using the pad in some way. A WW HD remake that looked like the pictures they released, with new dungeons. More big surprises like a Star Fox or a Star Tropics or anything. They should have had surprise after surprise lined up.

That is what made me smile, the SMB2 moments. Also the football enemy from Mario World. The game will be great just not the kind of game I was expecting.
Well Sony fucking wins E3 by a MILE this year...not even a contest.
Is this all Nintendo is going to show? Or are they going to have more reveals before E3 is done? Because if this was it, Son.....I am disappoint.
No surprises AT ALL....most games look like upscaled Wii games...most games coming out next year. NOT GOOD.
No price cut? Are they high?
No big 3rd party exclusives...like a Resident Evil 2 remake or something? ANYTHING?

The lack of a price cut really shocks me....what do they have for this year that is going to turn sales around? Especially in the face of competition? NOTHING....Pikmin will be great but its not a system seller and neither is an upscaled Zelda...
