Shit boys, still no one else has Lost winds Winter of the Melodias?

I almost bought it. I purchased the Wii points, was in the Wii store, and at the last minute went ahead and got NyxQuest instead.  No regrets though. NyxQuest is fun, and Winter of the Melodias isn't going anywhere in the meantime.  Besides, Winter was the #1 most downloaded WiiWare title last week.  They'll be getting plenty of support for quite some time.  Got to back my boys at Over The Top who made NyxQuest whose game sadly didn't fare as well.

How does it stack up to the first lost winds?

So why haven't you completed it? It's fairly short and fairly easy, the lack of a map being the main problem, but if you know North from south and east from west its allright.

well, i can't think of how one can have more than 2 opposite directions in a sidescrawling situation ... so i may have some navigation problems Nyaa

It's tough to call one better than the other, though I'd probably favor Lost Winds slightly.  NyxQuest feels more like a traditional platformer. There are just as many puzzles as in Lost Winds, but there's not really any exploration.  Just go from point A to point B and look for some hidden treasures along the way.  I can't say enough about the controls though. They're fantastic. Using the pointer to control the environment, while using the thumbpad for most of the character controls. . . its great. It can get very tricky at times.  And in that respect I'll say that Nyx is much tougher than Lost Winds.

The only downside to NyxQuest is that the environments just are not varied. It's all mostly the scorched earth/desert look, though it changes a little in some mountainous areas. It makes sense to the story, but honestly if they could have added in some other environments like a forrest or something it would have helped the game feel a lot more fresh.
