Another GAFfer just gave his impressions:
Structure, pacing, charm.
Three things this game nails which make up for its shortcomings. It's an odd game - there's no one individual element of its gameplay that you can pinpoint which makes it so enjoyable. But the fact that it mixes things up so regularly, that you constantly seem to be making progress of some sort, and that the plot and dialogue are so utterly, utterly daft that you're compelled to keep playing to see what madness comes next makes it irresistible.
It's like the Crank of games - a fast-paced, thoroughly guilty pleasure that you're never going to admit is one of your favourites but which you'll always be tempted to return to every now and again.
Europeans can get it for £10 now. What are you waiting for?
Ten pounds from where that will ship to Asutralia?
The euro is so fucking low now I am loving it!
Last time I saw it was at game.co.uk
Otherwise, try gamestation, amazon, play.com or gameplay. I'm not searching for you
I think Bugs posted the £10 link in the hot gaming deals thread.
Why are you all so lazy and selfish?
Firstly nobody would buy me a DS, and now you won't find it cheap for me?!
Bah!

Not in North America; at least as far as I know. Also, there's the issue of territorial lockout. Yup, Reggie screwed us!
Reggie = The Devil
This might not mean much unless you've played it but this is awesome.

Only played the first one once and it looekd alright. I must get the pulse gun to be able to *spoilers*destroy the asteroid*spoilers* as you need the gattling gun and the best assault rifle., Gotta get the pulse gun before the gattling gun.
I have been playing disaster the last few days now. What a fun game, it is basically Action Movie the Game tm. You have these ex special forces that have something to settle with the US government, a hero wrecked with guilt trying to save a girl that is supposed to be smart and beautiful, but in reality is dumb and fugly, and some many different disasters in a single day.
Seriously in one day, a scientist is kidnapped by ex-special forces. Then a big earthquake hits just after that. This causes lots of fires all over the town, there is even a fire tornado. The earthquake also triggers two tsunami's (yes two)and a volcanic eruption. during all this SURGE (ex-special forces mentioned before) steals 2 nukes. This all happens in a single day. The game should have been called "What a day, what a day".
It's 24, the game. Only with natural disasters thrown in. And two volcanoes.

Reading your guys posts that is exactly what I thought this game would be like. Oh and 24 the game did have a natural disaster, ok it wasn't really natural but it was still a disaster.
Yes America, you may not be able to buy and play Disaster but through the magic of the internet you can watch half the game being played through:

Make sure you hit the HQ icon
Parts 1-9, only half the game though.
