I question those records. I've seen that feature, and I recall looking at it while I played Sonic Colors and noticed that it didn't seem to count some of my shorter sessions. After I'd played the game 5 or 6 times it was only counting 3 or 4.
It might be not be counting play sessions if you turn off the console to end a game (as opposed to exiting via the menu). It does seem off rfom some of my games, but not for others.
sadly not all games are games are listed on play records, i own around 5-10 games that for whatever reason but its a cool thing that nintendo channel does
I wonder if the records only start once you have installed Nintendo Channel?
No, because it logged about 90 hours of Brawl for me and by the time I installed the Nintendo Channel I had stopped playing the game.
the records are kept before that everyday the wii is played it tells you how many hours and on what thouse records are then shown on the nintendo channel but the wii has kept them since day one there was ust no way then to view them, who knowsmaybe nintendo was planing on the nintendo channel since day one but it just took a few years to get it working
I just noticed a cool feature of the Nintendo Channel. If you open the Channel on your Wii, in the bottom right-hand corner there is a button for "Records" -- it shows you how many times you have played each game and the total time.
I was surprised by quite a few in there, like:
- I beat SMG in 45 hours with 21 play sessions.
- I beat SMG2 in 31 hours with 15 play sessions.
- I beat The Conduit in 8 hours in 4 play sessions...
- LKS in-game clock is off by about 3 hours (Nintendo has me having played it 18 hours, in game is 15).
It was interesting to me just because the memories I had of certian games (like how long it took to beat and how much I played it, often jarred with reality).
