So today I went to check out the Nintendo channel and it updated to a new version, a new design. If you check the records section it handily collates how long you have played each game on your system.

Foolz asked me how many hours I had played Animal Crossing so here it is.

If you want to do the same go to the Nintendo Channel > Records > Gameplay records. Note that it calculates how long you have played the actual game, regardless of save times, so if you played and didn't save, it still counts.

355hrs Animal Crossing City folk.

Wow LOL Oblivion has nothing on this game.

196 hrs Internet Channel

What? How did this happen?

103 hrs Twilight Princess

Okay first run through was 60 hrs, second was less than half that and my bro completed it too.

57 hrs Endless Ocean

Complete ownage this game.

54 hrs Super Mario Galaxy

Really?! The game is so breathtaking it feels shorter than that! I only beat it twice once as mario and once as Luigi.

48 hrs Metroid Prime 3

Errrrrrrrrrrrr, how did this happen, I played it though maybe one and a half times.

42 hrs Wii Sports

Yeah because I used to use it 5 times a week while I was excercising, okay.

31 hrs Mario Kart Wii

Hmmm, online + trophy play yep

29 hrs Little Kings Story

My save file says 20 hrs so I have played 9 hours but not saved Happy

26 hrs Okami

It felt LONGER. Still haven't completed it

26 hrs Elebits

Great game, shame about the slowdown and too large later levels

26hrs Red Steel

Don't ask

25 hrs Paper Mario N64

Awesome

24 hrs Zack and Wiki

Well I did complete each level twice but that is still higher than the 8-10 hrs the game is.

21 hrs Disaster Day of Crisis

And I need to play it again Grinning

20 hrs Super Paper Mario

Bleh

20 hrs COD World at War

It's fun, but could be better

18 hrs RE Umbrella Chronicles

18 hrs De Blob

18 hrs Wii Shop Channel

13 hrs Nintendo Channel

11 hrs House of the Dead Overkill

Must play, again. But this doesn't count the 6 hrs spent playing it at a friends house.

11 hrs Broken Sword

11 hrs Conduit

11 hrs Rabbids Go Home

Will play again Happy

11 hrs Cursed Mountain

Will likely play again

11 hrs Madworld

8 hrs Smash Bros Brawl

WTF I feel like I played this for 2 hrs at most.

8 hrs News Channel

7 hrs Warioware smooth moves

Will do 7 hrs and below later. Happy

No, but you want achievements, that show what you done in each and every game you have played. Inconsistencies detected.

Achievements are for friends, not greedy corporate suits that wants to know my gaming habits so they can sell more of their digital drugs to me. Nyaa

Does not matter what it is for. For achievements to work they need to record stuff. For instance if you get an achievement for playing 60 hours, it needs to record the time you have played.

The Wii already records the time you play each and every game. This program, from my understanding, just adds up the total hours. So I am not sure where you get the "spying" thing from. And I do not know why you think Nintendo would do it and Microsoft would not do it with their achievements.

Quit frankly I am thinking you are overreacting and paranoid. Besides when is the last time Nintendo did something with the internet?

Nope. I'm finally at Hyrule Castle, though! I've been looking for Poes and Bugs, so that I can try out that deep pit in the desert first.

I believe these times are a bit inaccurate. I think they count the time when the game is paused too. I tend to leave my games paused for hours before coming back; it's a bad habit I developed back in the 16-Bit days.

196 hrs Internet Channel

What? How did this happen?

Porn.

It says you logged 13 hours in the VC store, how?

Raven is that really the original SMB, you played that for 136 hours and started it 337 times... what? I assume you can now finish that game with your eyes closed, hands tied behind your back playing only with your tongue.

Yes. A while back I tried to beat the game using no powerups, warps, cheats or glitches.

I can tell you I've played a lot more of it than that (though not on VC).

I'd hate to see how much time I've wasted spent playing the SNES version over the years.

I haven't beat it that way yet. I kept dying on World 7. It's a bitch to beat that World with no powerups!

Here is my list, kind of weird, again the time counts no matter if its paused or left on or whatever. Also the times played is NOT the amount of individual times the game was started, as I checked with DSC and it didn't match. It did match the amount of different days that I played the game. So I assume that is different days that the game was played on.

I just realized this list is missing games, I have no RE4 Wii or Elebits showing up and I found the records stored on my wii. Oh no Trauma Center either, who knows how many games it is missing.

Hours/days

  • Smash Bros. Brawl  - 102/28   Uhhh what? I know when people come over this is usually what they play so thats why it is so high.
  • Zelda TP - 94/31
  • Metroid Prime 3 - 53/15
  • Wii Sports - 48/40 Again what others play mostly.
  • Super Mario Galaxy - 41/27
  • Super Paper Mario - 31 10
  • Scarface - 29/6     This is just sad
  • Animal Crossing - 29/16
  • Sonic and the Secret Rings - 28/11
  • RE UC - 26/18
  • Paper Mario - 26/14
  • Internet - 25/50
  • Zack and Wiki - 23/12
  • NSMB Wii - 20/11
  • Landstalker - 20/10
  • Super Metroid - 18/15
  • NMH - 18/10
  • Nights - 16/5
  • Boom Blox - 16/7
  • Punch-Out!! Wii - 16/5
  • Indiana Jones - 15/3
  • Sonic Unleashed - 14/3
  • RE DSC - 14/5
  • Wii Store - 12/68 Hmm I guess I spent 12 hours too.
  • Dead Rising - 12/4 I want all these hours back
  • Madworld - 12/5
  • Punch-Out NES - 11/15
  • Super Mario RPG - 11/8
  • Mii Channel - 10/41
  • Wonderboy - 9/5
  • Dragon's Curse - 8/6
  • Legend of Mystical Ninja - 8/5
  • Beyond Oasis - 8/5
At this point there are way too many games with short hours, so I picked a few

  • deBlob - 7/2
  • Deadly Creatures - 6/5
  • Mushroom Men - 6/2
