Yeah, that’s kind of how I feel about FF2 and FF3. Two games that I’ll never play again but glad that I did just for the first hand experience instead of just relying on other people’s perspective on them.

I can at least say that it was my own experience that's stopped me from playing Final Fantasy 3 for so long. I first picked up a fan translated version in 1999. Then I played the DS remake shortly after it launched. Both times, I don't think I made it more than about 2 or 3 hours in before quitting.
Anyway, glad I finally stuck with it. Now I can scratch it off the books and never play it again.
I finished Borderlands 4 a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it. I put in over seventy hours and the only reason I finished it this soon is because I was in an online party and we just kept chugging along until the end. I really enjoyed it, maybe my second favorite under BL2. There's a lot about the old games that I don't remember so its hard to compare. I do like the open world of this game. It is nice to see a lot of greenery and not so much desert.
I completed Super Mario Galaxy 2 and loved it. Its not as good as the first one. I guess I just love exploring on Rosalinas ship more and how grand everything feels. The biggest gripe that I have are the controls. Sometimes when things get hectic, I lose control of Mario and he just starts to run around in a circle on his own. I read that this has been an issue since the game was first released 15 years ago. So, why wasn't this fixed? Also, the pointer controls are kinda crap, especially when trying to grab something as Yoshi or pull yourself to a blue star. I couldn't find an option to change controls but it would have been nice to just click a button to highlight something to grab onto. I was using the Pro Controller 2 so maybe I can map that button to one in the back and see if that is easier. Fantastic game, still one for the ages. The controls just need to be tweaked.
