If google (who makes their money from advertising) really wanted to help the world they'd start by paying their taxes rather than using legal, but morally questionable techniques.
Whenever I see that they gave 2 million here or there for a charity, I think of the $3.1 billion they steal from the tax payers each year.

And as mentioned, blame the GOP for blocking legislation to close the loophole, which is included in a bill to provide health care funding to 9/11 first rescue workers who have conditions related to their work at ground zero.

Well according to this survey, 4 out of 10 Americans believe the world was created 10,000 years ago. That basically means that around 40% of the people in the USA are complete and utter idiots. The democrats are just idiots. Not utter idiots. There was never a left party in the USA. Only right and extreme right. Nothing like the Socialist or Labour parties in Europe, with the possible exception of Roosenvelt.

This is very much the case. Both parties in the US I would describe as being radically right-wing. By contrast in Australia I'd describe both federal parties as Center-Left (with most Labor state parties being Center-Right).
