So I’m still a low level 6. I chose Zane as my character since I found the sentinel and decoy intriguing. I’m wondering if I should try the gunner, the character class I used in B2. I saw Leo online but felt like my character was too low level to invite him.
Lol! I was just stuck in a battle with giant balls. Embarrassingly, I kept on going down! My first thought was to try to get some help from my old, fellow vault-hunter partners, but then I realized you JUST started, so your level would probably be too low. Eventually, I landed up hiding in the cracks and circling the a-hole ‘til I beat him into submission and he shot a giant load of loot all over the battlefield!
I reached the second planet today and the enemies look they’re from Destiny. The city is cool, something quite different from the usual levels in these games. I like the new cycle, pretty cool vehicle to ride around in the city. I also ran into Leo which was awesome but we both needed to leave too soon.
I've seen you online Travo (not live, you are sleeping when I am awake and gaming). It seems like the game is as advertised ,I'd enjoy it no doubt if I had time.
I’m really enjoying it. I’m not sure if it’s as good as B2 but still a lot of fun. Leo, what do you think?
The same can be said of many long running franchises of course, but I feel that BL's typical sense of humour is very contemporary and will thus also end up out of vogue at some point in the not too distant future. It's not a franchise I see myself playing in 20 years time.
Fair point and while it is true that it does rely on a lot of the old familiar, you’ll be surprised at how different the new planets and enemies are. I was reading that a lot of folks were groaning at the humor but I think it is as on point as BL2. Though nobody can touch Handsome Jack.
The new enemies look straight out of a Destiny game plus add some Big Daddies in there as well.
Never played Destiny. I'll play BL3 eventually, once me and my mates tire of Sea of Thieves and have played through MonHun Iceborne, but I'm in no rush as I was with the second game.
I ran into a bad glitch during the mission Space Laser Tag. When I got to the elevator I stopped playing and turned off the PS4. When I returned there was no mission objective shown on the screen. I tried restarting the game, turning off the system, nothing changed. This was a main mission so I couldn’t skip it and thought I was screwed. Turns out the only way to bypass the glitch is to join another person’s game who is on the same mission. Unfortunately, the person who’s game I joined finished it and I missed the last part of that mission.
I just finished the game this morning. It's a really fun sequel and the story was great. I think hopping from planet to planet and exploring new environments certainly kept this fresh. I was also surprised at the enemy variety. I loved the many bosses that I faced and the humor is just as good , especially with Ice-T's character. I don't think I had quite as much fun with this as with part 2 ONLY because Leo and I never really got to play together except maybe a ten minute session.
I'm up to the last planet now, but I'm going back and tying up loose ends on the others. I am translating Eridian Writings, learning the purpose of the Sirens and seeking out the Eridian Trials. I'm leaving no stone un-turned on this one. We get a Borderlands only every few years and I'm making the most of this one!
The Trials are tough. I may need a fellow Vault-Hunter's help to beat them...
Alright, fellas. Let’s play! One of the best co-op game series returns and we need to do this. Last time, it was Leo and I for the sequel. Let’s have a threesome for the three-quel!
