Now, the WORST thing about this game: Hearing individual characters talking about their games and situations makes me want to go back and PLAY their games! Hearing Vashyron talk about Basel and the plot of Resonance of Fate has prompted me to DL it on Xbox On Demand! I've tried a number of times to get into it **It's one of Tri-Ace's most obscure battle systems yet!** only to give up, but last night, I took my time, did and re-did the Tutorial and I'm actually "getting it" this time! This is a good and bad thing!

Best thing about this game: The characters DO NOT just appear, you use them as a unit, and then they disappear. They introduce themselves, they discuss with other characters from other games their situations and they exchange quips during the battle sequences. For example, you don't just get Frank West, use him and tuck him in the corner... He'll discuss the events of the Willamette Mall with Chun Li... Chun Li will discuss hunting down members of S.I.N. with Pai Chan from Virtua Fighter, she'll respond a Movie Actor friend of hers has heard of S.I.N. too... One of the Fighting Viper guys will offer to show Akira from Virtua Fighter how to throw a Dragon Punch, Pai will tell him that's OK as long as he doesn't start throwing Chi Fireballs from his hands during fights within earshot of Ryu and Ken...
This is the ultimate game homage; famous characters meet famous characters... They fight their famous foes and Rivals... Even the basic soldiers are enemies from Dead Rising, Resident Evil, Super Robot Taisen, Resonance of Fate... The guys that made this game are --OBVIOUS-- fans of all of the rest of the gaming universes involved!
