I've had absinthe more than a few times. I chalk it up to dating a lot of goth girls over the years.

The ritual of preparing it is more fun than actually drinking it I think. If you have one of those proper set-ups for dripping the water onto a sugar cube then into a glass, just watching it all mix is surprisingly relaxing.

Truth be told, I haven't had any probably in almost 20 years, and I suspect I might enjoy it more today than I did back then as my palette has changed quite a bit over the years.
