Wonderful 101 -- Described as 'Pikmin meets Viewtiful Joe' and made by Platinum Games. Need I say more?

Pikmin 3 -- "With regard to “Pikmin 3″ for Wii U, I don’t want to be misconceived, but the biggest draw of this game is the higher-resolution images through the high-definition graphics. You can even see Pikmin’s gestures with the graphics. We are not going to put asymmetric gameplay in a game if it is unnecessary. In this game, you can see the entire map on Wii U GamePad. The two screens of the TV and Wii U GamePad will let you see what you are doing at any time during your gameplay, which alone is a great evolution for a strategy game. As a side note, you can play this game only with Wii U GamePad. If it is hard to imagine what it will be like, maybe you can recall the visuals of the original “Pikmin” for Nintendo GameCube and imagine how you can play it with the smaller but more detailed screen in your hands. The two control sticks of Wii U GamePad will let you play this game more comfortably and, with a TV screen, the gyro sensor inside Wii Remote Plus will further help your gameplay. Wii U GamePad will give you style variations of playing this game and playing only with Wii U GamePad might be a good experience for you. I hope you will like this game." -- Miyamoto.

LEGO City: Undercover -- "Contrary to what you may assume, LEGO City Undercover (the new Wii U adventure heading our way in early 2013), is unlike any LEGO game you’ve ever played. As the first non-licensed title centered on everyone’s favorite building blocks, you won’t find any batarangs, lightsabers or hobbits in this city. This might sound like a questionable proposition for some, especially those who consider messing around as LEGO versions of their favorite properties to be the biggest draw of the LEGO game franchise. Remove that, and is there anything left worth sticking around for?

The answer, somewhat surprisingly, is yes - and that’s thanks in large part to the huge amount of depth and personality the developers put into this title. Without the ability to lean on established franchises, there was a lot more room for creativity in this release. Instead of focusing on jamming in tons of license-specific jokes or trying to tell some weird, truncated version of a movie’s story, LEGO City Undercover instead establishes its own identity, one that is both refreshing and entertaining."

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate -- "As fans of Monster Hunter Tri can no doubt attest, a multiplayer game is only as good as its platform, and community allow it to be. Dedicated though the MH faithful may be, the realities of multiplayer gaming on the Wii made forming groups, coordinating strategies, and even basic communication a real chore. But after sitting down for some group hunting action with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Wii U, I'm happy to say that the fans are about to be vindicated, because the features and capabilities of the new system have allowed Capcom to address pretty much every issue the original faced."

Game & Wario -- "Wii Sports aside, WarioWare: Smooth Moves was the piece of software that initially helped define Nintendo’s Wii as a party platform. It was also a really great game. As with any WarioWare title, there was something inexplicably humorous and fun about watching your buddies complete a series of random mini-games set in the zany world of Wario and friends. Yet despite its critical success and popularity, we haven’t seen a true Wario party game since the stout fiend first showed us his smooth moves at Wii’s launch - until now. That’s right, Wario is back, and ready to have his go with Nintendo’s newest home console, Wii U."

"The other game given significant attention within this morning's Nintendo Direct was a game-within-a-game starring the WarioWare franchise's Nintendo-addicted fanboy character, 9-Volt. You control 9-Volt as he's lying in bed, playing a rapid series of microgames on the GamePad screen, just like a traditional WarioWare title. But the twist is, as you're playing those games, you also have to keep an eye on the TV screen to make sure 9-Volt's mother isn't walking by his bedroom to check up on him. When you see her, you have to put the Pad away to make 9-Volt pretend he's sleeping."

Injustice: Gods Among Us -- "What if our greatest heroes became our greatest threat? From the indomitable DC Comics and the makers of the definitive fighting game franchise Mortal Kombat comes Injustice: Gods Among Us, a bold fighting game featuring a large cast of favorite DC Comics icons. Set in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred, players will experience heroes and villains engaging in epic battles on a massive scale. A deep, original story compliments the fighting action that pits many of the great heroes and villains from the DC universe against each other -- Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and many others lose their allegiances and fight for Injustice!"

Need for Speed: Most Wanted -- "During a recent developer demo, Criterion revealed that the Wii U adaptation of the game is actually based on the superior PC version. After taking a break once the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 had shipped the developer came back with a smaller team to start the Wii U edition. The studio made use of the console's additional reserves of RAM and sourced high-quality PC textures and assets, as well as incorporating effects such as improved lighting."

Pikmin 3 will be a GOTY contender for me.  Every time I see Wonderful 101, it looks like it'll be a surprise hit.

I'm really looking forward to Injustice. Netherworld proved to me with Mortal Kombat that they can make a fighting game with a compelling story, and the early previews of the story and the comic book prelude (Superman KILLS Lois Lane for god's sake!!!!) already have me hooked. I just hope the fighting part of it is good.

"A Light in the Black" sounds better to me instead of "A Light in the Dark" it reminds me of an awesome song.

Edit* I'm looking forward to most of the games listed.

Remove Pikmin 3 from the list as it's not coming for the Wii U.
