Hawkgirl series in development on the CW
It might not be made but they are looking to make a spin-off of Legends of Tomorrow with Hawkgirl as the lead.
I've watched 50 movies since the last time I posted here, so I'm not listing them all. (They're here.) I watched Mr. Peabody and Sherman today. Nothing outstanding.
By Miu Watanabe.
I watched a film worth mentioning last night: The Duke of Burgundy, directed by the arthouse Quentin Tarantino with good taste (Peter Strickland). It was probably the sweetest sub/dom lesbian sexploitation psychological drama love story I've seen yet. He's 3/3 now, and this was probably his most polished and prettiest.

Yeah he was quite menacing although his Chinese sounded a bit awkward. In the "Stick" episode who was Stick talking to at the end?

WTF? Why use the live action actors? There are plenty of good voice actors about.

Because it takes plays in the same universe so they want to use the same actors.
Wtf is dc animation doing? Their last few projects have been merely average.

Watcher Paciic Rim. It was great for what it was. Kind of Starship Troopers but better.
In other news I am almost done watching Robocop (the new one).
I've seen the original Robocop no less than 30, maybe 40 times (when I was 15 I used to watch it back-to-back a lot). Obviously the sequels were excreble.
So I was really sceptical going into the remake, hostile even, but it is really the perfect remake, there are enough nods to the original that are respectful and not overdone, while making their own new story. Best yet, there is not really any part of it that is not inconsistent with what the original did in regard to the analysis of news as entertainment, the industrial military complex, the nature of being (existentialism). And being in a post 9-11 world the themes of militarization of police forces, surveilance and use of fear to sell weapons is actually more profound than in the original (which was a more basic study of the nature of evil, with a few pokes at the US).

Travo liked it too, looks like I'll have to check it out.
GG, I watched the first 2 minutes of full metal alchemist, but I was drunk and the subtitles were not what I was ready for. Will re-try when I am sober ( like that will ever happen).
It could have had more.
