Good, better to go out not recycling the one (albeit great) film he's been making for 20 years.
Original concept art for the Reverse-Flash from The Flash on the CW. It looks cool but they went with the classic version.
I would like to see this version in the DC Shared Movie Universe.
Has anyone caught Marco Polo on Netflix (their new original series)? I'm on episode 3 and I've enjoyed it quite a lot. I think the critics have been a little overly harsh comparing it to Game of Thrones, though I suppose it's fair since I'm pretty sure the series was created after someone at Netflix said, "let's make our own Game of Thrones!" It's nowhere in GOTY's league. One had excellent source material while the other was a more or less original story based on some historical events and a mythical figure (Marco Polo wasn't a real person - go read a book). But it's a good show in its own right, and there's been some great kung-fu seqences. Really it almost feels more like a big Asian epic like Crotching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but made specifically for a western audience. Anyway, I recommend it. Therefore you should watch it.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon wasn't made for a Western audience?!
Or is "Crotching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" an obscure Eastern pornogpharic film? (That would make sense if it's copying Game of Thrones.)

Inserting westerners into Asian flicks. My favourite thing.
That guy in Gotham who tried to slice up Gordon in the office building, is he supposed to be Black Mask?
We might get news on who will play Supergirl soon.
The casting director posted a picture of Supergirl on Twitter with the caption.
"Met some amazing DC fans on my holiday travels back east. Getting me pumped to return to work. She's coming soon..."
Saw The Guardians of the Galaxy, what a load of nonsense. Turd Blossom? Funky dance? "You said it Bitch?"
What was all this hype over the music?
I like the Thor and Iron Man flicks. Also Captain America 2 was great, 1 was shit. Hulk Norton was good, Hulk Ang Lee was not. Amazing Spiderman 1 and 2 just.... exist. I guess. I like the X-men films too.
Guardians was a load of tosh, it had many jokes that fell flat, was improbable when it didn't need to be and seemed almost embarrased about the genre it's in. Bautista can't act either but his character was handled poorly regardless. Playing a bunch of 70s songs to a cheesy, poorly plotted sci fi summer romp does not a good movie make. To quote the movie itself, it was a Turd Blossom and the final distracting jig at the end summed up the whole movie.
I re-watched the Avengers a few days ago it was allright, until the mass brawl at the end.
I can't seem to watch the avengers I thought it was good but I get distracted by it looking like a TV series. When I watch movies I want them to look like movies but the Avengers looks like a TV show.

FMA:B is his LBP.
Saw The Wind Rises, Miyazakis last movie.
It feels like an old man sinking into a bath and saying ahhhhhhhhhhh.
Seems he's gone out with a whimper rather than a bang. It's a very reflective, quiet, long and somewhat boring movie. One would assume that he drew inspiration for the aircraft designers paper scribblings from his own life but no matter how he dresses it up, a man scribbling furiously on paper is not exciting. There's some lighthanded, almost deft avoidance going on about Japans' role in WW2 and the Nazis etc. I prefer fantastical imaginative Ghibli films, so this real world story is fairly staid and mundane. Unlike From Up on Poppy Hill it's not funny or whimsical either, so as a Ghibli fan it fails on most levels with me.
