Ooh, reching buyable prices!

Final boss is weird. I get him down to just one square over half his life gone and then, for some reason no matter how many times I beat the crap out of him, his life bar stays at the same point. After 40 minutes of whoop ass, I noticed that something was wrong. Either this is a bug or am I suppossed to be doing something differentely after I get his life down that much?
Also, he said I killed his dad and brothers. Should I know who he's talking about?
And holy fuck at the heads on trays.
bugsonglass said:did you get to the third phase of the fight?ps i didn't know who his father and brothers are but since you kill many pizza butt related people in this game as well as the original i assumed it was some of those
What third phase? I hide under him, the lasers knock him to the ground. I pound the crap out of him.
Ad infinitum.

is he still in his little cart thing? that is just the first phase. you need to go into the middle and hit him as he tries to run across to the other diagonal of the room

How the hell am I suppossed to know that?
Damn game.
bugsonglass said:it's been a while, but i remember that part of the fight as being ridiculously easy. i think after he waits up high, then he zooms diagonally across to the other corner of the room. you need to block his path, then shake vigorously so as you topple him over and then go hit him as much as you can before he gets up. then repeat.
Yeah, it took me forever to figure that out.
And yeah, the heads on plates was what I was talking about.
Did you guys ever catch this from the original game?
The fast forwarded bit in slow motion.
Also bugs, what were you saying about it being easy to replay NMH1? I think I started a fresh save state so I could keep the ending easily accesible to watch. How do I start on the same save file and what does that mean in terms of how I can replay it easier?
when you start again after finishing the game you keep all your katanas and your upgrades (i had the best katana and the battery upgrade which requires no shake-charge well before finishing it). you also have all the side-jobs and killing missions open so you can just do some of the final ones and earn 200 000 in 30 seconds or something. all this means you can pretty much enjoy the game boss fight straight after boss fight (and doing so on bitter for a bit of added challenge)
Thats not something I would enjoy. I would rather replay on mild and do the levels. I just thought maybe you could skip the overworld and jobs second time through.

you practically can. all the jobs are unlocked, you don't have to do any of them again. killing a boss makes you almost enough money for the next boss. you may need to do the odd assassination but you can essentially just play boss after boss. though you have to drive to them, you can't skip that.
stop trying to find excuses to avoid acknowledging the awesomeness and superiority of the original game over the sequel
gamingeek said:But do you just do the boss fights or can you play the actual levels?
you play the game normally, so you have to play the levels leading up to the bosses. you can skip all the sidejobs and assassination missions or just do the odd one when you need money to register for a fight

Sounds good, but does it have to be on bitter or can I select a lower setting?
gamingeek said:Sounds good, but does it have to be on bitter or can I select a lower setting?
no, you have all the three options. i played the first 6 levels on bitter and it wasn't much more difficult. it was perhaps a bit fairer as I had the best katana and all the upgrades carried over. but you can choose sweet or mild if you like
Just beat Alice the no 2 ranked boss.
I love this game. The bit when Travis was ranting and the sun was glaring into the camera was awesome.
