OH MY GOD!! I just finished the demo. Must buy for me. It looks gorgeous on SDTV, I just wished I had a HDTV to see how it was really meant to be viewed.
Stealth is near perfect and Batman's moves are awesome. I was actually pissed that the demo stopped when it did. I wanted to take down that boss.
Why must I wait for the 25th to get paid?!
I heard that there's a scare factor between Batman and the enemies. I heard that guards will even freeze right up if they turn around and discover you're right behind them. Is using fear an actual gameplay mechanic, or is it scripted for context between certain NPC's?

Hard to say. I only played through it once. Rag has played it a lot more than me, so maybe he can answer to that more accurately.

Yeah that demo is awesome indeed. It's gone from a solid rental to a definite purchase for me. The gameplay mechanics are excellent, the graphics stunning, and I love the voice cast. The stealth mechanics are very cool and really allow you to play around a good deal.

It took a while but I finally managed to do this. I walked behind an enemy for a long time hoping he would turn around (you can stand right behind him, even at an angle where any normal human would see you, you need to be right in front of them for them to spot you). Well finally one of them did and when he saw me he ducked down and put his hands up in fear while crying like a girl. Awesome.

So I was not really very interested in this game, but then I heard that Eidos was embargoing this from all publications that won't give it 70% or higher, so then I wrote it off altogether... So, you think perhaps give it a shot after all?
