I'm afraid I don't have any proof for you since there hasn't been a Mickey game to point to in some time. Kingdom Hearts is as close as I can get, and that did 1.5 million in Japan. Guess we'll all just have to wait another year and see. Of course I will be right, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I'm not goiing to split hairs on the Kingdom Hearts numbers, but the numbers I saw put KH 1 and 1.5 million and KH 2 at 1.1 million like you reported. Doesn't matter though. Those games were driven as much by Final Fantasy characters as they were by Disney.

As for your questions:

1. The game came out yesterday apparently. I knew it was set for later this month, but apparently that's not the case. So we'll have some numbers next week.

2.  It's part gut feeling and part based on what I know about Disney in the Japanese culture. The Japanese really eat a lot of it up. Sure there are Disney nuts in America, but like so many other things it gets taken to the next level in Japan and I think this game will fall in line with it.

What's the cut off time? If we're going for total sold after 1 month I'm going to have to go around 800K. If it's 6 months I'll say 1 million.

I just beat Captain Hook in a cool boss fight that has two totally different ways to beat him. Why arent the other bosses like this? The whole Pirates world was really cool. Treasures are getting harder to find, enemies are providing I tiny bit more challenge. The game is fun in a where is waldo, or one of those find all hidden items in a picture kind of way. You enter an area and basically you search around for all hidden treasure and do simple objectives that basically have you look for stuff. All you do is look for stuff using your powers and for some reason its fun.

One thing that has been bothering me is the music, its bad. For the most part its boring mood music. For a game that can draw from a huge library of Disney tunes we get original crap. You go through the Pirates of the Carribean ride and the song does not play, are you kidding me??? You have the rights to Disney property, use the damn song!!! And with It's a Small World you only here the song for a few seconds, its supposed to play over and over until you want to kill yourself. Everything involving sound with this game has been horrible, the decision to not have voice acting, to not include famous music. Go make some other game if you don't want to include these things.

I am at the Haunted Mansion and it's easily the best level of the game so far. It is the most accurate representation of a ride so far and the gamplay is far better. The stretching room was a nice change of pace, this game needs more puzzles.

There is a robot part in the boss room on the ceiling. You can find your way up there but you have to move the camera about a lot to see how. I am telling you this because once you have done the area you can't go back to get the robot part.

It sold around 1.5 million, which is nothing for Nintendo 1st party but great overall for a hardcore game on the system. Epic Mickey is on track to double those sales and people expect it to sell even more, Just Dance numbers?
