AC, I am relieved to find out you are just talking about Animal Crossing.
Are you getting this game?

My gates are open to everyone. Bugs is here.
Good times today. Bugs and Supreme's wife visited. Is there a way to message a Switch friend? If I see someone is playing Animal Crossing can I message them to visit?

The wife says she saw you text on your nook phone s1aying "I'm online" she replied s1ayikg our gate was open, but she doesn't know if you could see it...
I didn't see it. I meant can I message people from my profile? Lot of people are playing, but how would they know who's gate is open and when unless we can message them.

Yes. my gaming time is about 20 minutes a week right now and I am trying to finish Pokemon Shield and acouple of indie PC games. (Also have Ring fit adventure on the way and Diablo 3 sits on the shelf for switch begging to be played).
Going by what I have seen on other websites/forums, "tarantula island" is a star location now. Many people want to see it...and profit from it. I kinda hope Nintendo runs with it, adding dlc in which neighbors will discuss hearing of the island.
That said, it also turns out you can make an island a tarantula island. If you break all the rocks, and remove all trees and flowers, one of the few insects left are tarantulas. Good way to make quick cash! If your nook ticket spawns you on a bamboo island, that's where I'd recommend doing it. No fish to contend with, and it's all flat.
Yeah, budget tarantula island is a fair alternative but it involves much more work and yields far less tarantulas making the whole deal less appealing. Having said that, tarantula island is not the only one. I've seen reports on reddit about shark island. 400k profit yields for a single trip. Apparently it has a distinctive land formation in the middle so it's easy to identify.
The worst of them has to be garbage island. Tires and cans and boots everywhere.

You can't send messages in the Switch UI. It should be possible through the Switch app on your phone, but that would require people to actually use it.
SupremeAC said:Doesn't making 300k in one go kind of ruin the game?
Not really. In fact, the need to use nook miles prevents the process from being over exploited. In some cases, the island you get makes doing that problematic at times. I suspect this was done to prevent exploitation of resources like what could be done in new Leaf. You could literally make millions in new Leaf in a month just hunting the beetles on the island in that game.
Yeah, making 300k seems like a lot, but it's not like I can do it frequently and it only makes a dent in expenses that I'm already running into. Also, nook miles are also tied to items for the island, so I don't plan on frequenting the islands incredibly often.
Long story short; it really doesn't. I'll give Nintendo props, they have done things in a way that keeps players in check.
