What is your drink of choice?

Beer is manageable for me, but it's more of a meal than a drink.

I think if I had to pick it would be tequila - straight.

Also, take the fact that I posted this in the wrong forum as no indication as to how the topic came to mind.

I don't drink spirits, nor beer really. If I must chose something containing alcohol, I'd have to go with a good red wine. A Merlot, or if the budget allows, a barollo.

The only beer I ever drink is a vedett from time to time. Since no one here will know what that is: it's more of an ale developed by Duvel some 15 years ago. We had easy access to it as their distillery was located only 5km from where we lived.

My body doesn't process alcohol nearly as well as it used to. That's sadder than hell given how mixology had become it's such a hobby. And let me tell you, mixing tea just isn't nearly as entertaining.  That's it I will still imbibe in a drink once a week or so. The order of preference is as follows:

Gin (gin & tonic being my go-to)
Red wine, preferably a Pinot noir
Wheat beers or any of a lighter fare
Whiskey
Tequila
White wines

I’m just a beer guy.  I don’t really care for liquor of any kind.  I’m such a brute.

Since we are on the gaming side, I do like getting drunk then pulling off combos in Bulletstorm.  Drunk in the game, that is.

I like Rum & Diet Cokes with lime the best. Long Island Ice Tea and Texas Roadhouse's frozen margarita are very good too.

You could get drunk in everquest too. It was pretty funny. your screen would start moving on its own, and if you try to talk to anyone around you they wouldn't understand you if you had too much. Then you have to wait like 10 minutes to sober up. The downtime could be rough, but you have to get that drinking skill up. It was important.

Lest not forget getting drunk in Conker's BFD as to be able to pee all over the place, which was required to be able to move the boulder-men about.

Also, autocorrect changed that to Conker's BFF. Damn millenials taking over the world.

Among the best alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks I've tasted is home-brewed mead, as it slowly fermented.

Let's not forget Yakuza's highly educational bars.

Homebrew Mead is amazing. I've tried my hand at it many times. One time I did it the carboy that I was fermenting it in exploded. I was keeping it in my closet to ensure it would be stored in a cool dark place, and a lot of my clothes and our Christmas tree got ruined in the process. Now my wife doesn't let me do it anymore.

Oh, to add another game that offers drinking, Harvest Moon 64. At the end of the year there's basically a drinking contest in the bar. Every day you have a drink during the year counts as a plus one towards your alcohol tolerance. You have to have 28 drinks in order to outdrink everyone else at the festival. so it pretty much forces you to be in the bar a couple nights a week during the game if you want to win.

At least you could have eaten your clothes and Christmas tree and they would have been delicious. She should have thanked you for preparing a week's worth of dinners!

If I drink any kind of alcohol twice a year?  That's frequent.

Fact is, I grew up with a mother with an unfortunate poor taste in men.  I got to experience the abusive, violent drunk and the depressive, self destructive drunk.  Neither one was a joy to live with.

From a statistical standpoint, children who grow up in those types of households tend to follow the same path.  I went the complete opposite route: I barely touch the stuff.

Never heard of this game. I looked it up and it sounds like the controls are sluggish. I heard the story has lots of gaps and doesn’t make much sense. The end is very surprising as you never know what you are going to end up with.

I'm okay with that. It's like the Taco Bell of tequila, but it's better than nothing.

Australia runs on Rum and Coke, no other mixed drink exists here (other than vodaka mixes, which are known as "girly drinks" or "alco-pops"

Nothing wrong with beer. do you go for the main brews or micro brews?  I don;t mind the japanese and Indian big brews, but Bud gives me a headache and MGD is ... well I get RSI drinking them trying to get a buzz.

My favorites are Heineken, Fosters and Red Stripe.  Budweiser makes me feel sick.
