Watching new black mirror and Dave Letterman's new show.
First is good, second is slow as fuck and not that interesting (albeit I am watching the Obama show).
I've been trying to get through this McG Netflix horror movie called the Babysitter. I've only been able to watch it in 20 minute bursts, over the period of several weeks. It's not very good and the young cast are fairly repugnant. But they are supposed to be homocidal killers I guess. It's like Home Alone with real violence.
Been watching Black Mirror Season 4. I think I have been spoilt by how amazing some of the best episodes in this series are, and I get disappointed when I watch ones which are merely good or very good.
Binge-watched Godless. The first episode is amazing. Dark, gothic, brooding western the kind you find in the writings of Cormac McCarthy and Faulkner. The rest of it does not live up to it. The writing is just not that strong. No compelling characters like in Unforgiven, no amazing shootouts like Open Range. Remains above average and is pleasant enough though.
Half watched a British series about two teenagers who leave home called something like "End of the F' ing World". It's awful but sometimes I watch bad TV whilst doing work at home so it doesn't distract me too much.
I'm excited by the announcement of more Castlevania animated episodes. I quite liked the existing four introductory episodes. Looking forward to this very much.
Kind of disappointed to hear about Godless. Its been on my list of things to watch, but I just can't quite pull the trigger on it. Something about the previews just isn't quite pulling me in.

It's not bad. And it's fairly short so it doesn't outstay its welcome. I liked the baddie (I was scratching my head to remember what it was I knew him from before I realised he was with Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber). I also liked the premise of the town populated only by the women.
Now watching Damnation. In a similar manner to Godless it's promising and disappointing at the same time. I think the acting is better though and the characters a bit more fully realised and less one-dimensional. Especially some of the female characters. I'm about half way through. Not particularly enthusiastic about it but I will probably watch it through to the end.
The album I'm listening to ("The Assassination of Julius Caesar" by Ulver) got me interested in enough to watch a documentary series about Rome called ([Mary Beard's] Ultimate) Rome: Empire Without Limit. (If only I could figure out the right title to use.) I learnt some new and reinforced some old knowledge.
I watched The Witch on Netflix. I really appreciate it. I liked the use of archaic English.
By Miu Watanabe.
Finished Black Mirror Season 4. It's mostly fairly good though there is a lot of repetition in the themes and motifs by now. And no single episode is as powerful or impactful as "The Entire History of You" from Season 1 or "San Junipero" from Season 3.
Season 3 premieres this Sunday.

I watched both seasons on Netflix last month. Great show.

Yeah it is this would actually be a rewatch for me.
Still no one watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
One is not amused.

I'm watching it in addition to Ash vs Evil Dead.

Halfway through the fourth episode. I got sick sometime last week while watching and got distracted. I need to start watching again.
I remember some of it because I watched the other series so some of the plot points seem familiar.

Just finished the fourth season? Ummm...

Yes. Ummm what?
Fifth season is when the show starts to get bad.
I'm actually watching anime on Netflix.
