Why are you still posting? Go play Galaxy, you only have 2 days to get 242 stars. Times a wasting. Go Go Go!

Wut? 242 stars?  Wrong! It's 241 stars. You can only get 120 stars you're first time through, and then you can get 121 stars the second time. 120+121= 241 stars!

No, the 121th star opens up for both Mario and Luigi. So 121+121 = 242 stars.

Played up to the end of the desert world. Ah, it looks like ass on my HDTV.

Asssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

Like the DS game, there are jaggies Sad

It feels really safe too so far. Not much imagination so far.

I really dislike having these themed worlds. I like levels to all be different. To have to play 10 desert levels in a row is just boring. I want variation like Super Mario World.

Yoshi seems a little useless. I dont like the little waggling feet move double jump thing he has. I want to bounce off goombas for an extra high jump but pressing jump again to acheive that gets Yoshi doing the feet waggle.

Bosses are okay but why am I chasing little bowser again? I want to face off with the big boss.

Anyhow, no super guide here offered and I haven't played multiplayer, might try it out tommorrow.

It's the hardest mario yet IMO. Sometimes overkill actually. I can imagine less experienced players having real problems with this game. It feels like people complained that the DS game was too easy so now they have swung to the opposite end of the spectrum, when they should be trying to achieve a balanced game with challenge there if you want it - like purple coins in SMG.

I want imagination, in level design and crazy abstract themes. Going underground and hearing that same music again is almost painful to hear. Yeah I dont like the music so far either, especially that insipid theme.

It's solid so far and I guess it will be more fun in multiplayer, but I'm not enjoying it like I want to be. It's not the next great mario game like 3 was from 1 like World was from 3, like 5 was from world, like 64 was from 5 etc.

I had a blast yesterday in multiplayer. I'm not a seasoned Mario player like you guys and missed the DS game, so this one feels fresh enough for me to enjoy.

Lucky you.

Have you played Super Mario World? Its the best one so far IMO. Download it on VC when you can.

I played the DS one and I still enjoyed this one. Actually the Wii version totally destroys the DS one. It has some of the very best level design in any Mario game ever. And GG is a casual soccer mum, that is the reason he hates this game and likes Animal Crossing.

It's better than the DS game hands down.

Why is it that because I dislike a mario game you start kicking me in the balls?

Screw you.

I don't have a problem with the themed Worlds in NSMB Wii, but I do agree that it would be better if the levels were more random.

If your balls look that you can excuse Iga's confusing. Balls that are designed to be kicked!

Up to world 4 now, the water levels mainly.

Um, its an okay game. I'm a little underwhelmed so far. I dont think that making a game difficult makes it better, I want to see a game that's more inspired.

The design is better than NSMB DS but still feels flat to me. Maybe its better in multiplayer.

Why is the camera zoomed out so far? Well because of 4 players I guess, which is a shame because when it is zoomed out that far it does look like the DS game in some respects, which is pretty bad for a home console game.

Why am I fighting this same boss firing bouncing balls at me constantly?

I'm sick of slipping on ice levels and having themed worlds means like 10 of them in a row godamnit.

Some of these new suits are cool. What is the point of the ice flower when the penguin suit does it + sliding and cool swimming? The fire flower I am done with. The propeller hat is nice but we've been jumping high and falling slow for ages in mario games now.

I hate the hammer/ice bros. Always have, always will! Lakitu is a cu**. And now if I kill him he comes back even faster, greeeeeeeeeat.

But like I said before, for someone who has been playing for years the difficulty is a hurdle but not an insurmountable one. It's the lack of variation (damned themed worlds) and the lack of inspiration. I mean Galaxy just shits all over this game.

It's good, competent, even fun. I just want these games to be as good as they can be.

Playing world 5 now, this is better. I like the giant caterpillars. Oh nice, this has the variety I wanted.

I just started the game somewhat seriously. World 1-6 or so. Feels like a warm-up.

It didn't get good till the forest world for me. New stuff and imaginative too. Some really imaginative enemies.

Played up to the middle of world 6.

Eh.

I think world 5 is great, inventive and fun. I wish all the worlds were like that. World 6 is sometimes annoying, most levels look pretty similar, not that much invention.

If the rest of the game runs through like this it will be like a 83% game for me.

I don't like the darkening the screen mechanic. It's okay once or twice but its getting repeated now and is a cheap way to raise the difficulty in that the game knows where everything is and can cheat you but you can't see stuff.
