That article GG linked too that shows all rift impressions is awesome. Thank you GG for all the updates.

Seems like the general consensus is that it delivers on the promise of feeling like another world but there isn't enough unique content yet and the lack of touch controls hurt.

So Vader, are you getting Occulus or PSVR?

In your situation you have both hardware capable, and you are interested in VR. What is your pick?

For me it would be PS VR as I don't want a gaming PC and I like stuff to work out of the box. It's also cheaper.

But for you? Occulus is higher spec but also more expensive. What about Vive?

I'm not too interested in VR right now, but if I was I couldn't understand why anybody want Oculus or PSVR over the Vive.

One of the site's forefathers.

I already ordered the rift. Vive is clearly the better VR set but I don't have space for a room VR so it's kind of pointless at the moment. Plus rift has exclusive games. Getting a PSVR is just stupidity to me, why limit VR to a game console. There are thousands of other applications to use VR on and Psvr won't allow any of them.

I guess PS VR will have exclusive games too and more apps would open up I guess? It will always be closed compared to PC though.

The launch has been a disaster, no one is getting their rifts except kickstarter backers. So Oculus released a statement saying that had unexpecdted component shortages and its being sorted out. Everyone gets free shipping now. Fuck you, give me my damn rift,

I think PS VR is the only realistic possibility that I will personally get to experience or be a part of this first generation of VR as I have no interest in building a high end PC any time soon so the other two are automatically excluded.

Having said that, it doesn't necessarily mean that I will.  Though if there is compelling software/games I will be tempted.

Not sure if 'sadly' is the adjective I would have gone for.  Fortunately?  Luckily?

But hey, no need to despair Vader, such a controller already exists.  If you order it now, perhaps you'll receive it ahead of your Oculus rift!
