Sooo much better than the Witcher 3. Gameplay and game mechanics, alone, surpass it. There's just so much gameplay variety. I also prefer the awesome Gotham atmosphere and story.
But I certainly agree with Vader that the lack of bosses and indoor dungeon areas does hurt the game. I miss places like the Iceberg Lounge and not a single villain to fight yet at nearly thirty percent.
Vader, should be in puzzle heaven with the Riddler challenges. Especially the ones that involve saving Catwoman.

In an unrelated subject, I have been waiting for your particular input in the storytelling thread.
I want to use The Witcher 3 as an example, but need to finish it first.* Which is my new official excuse for not doing anything: have to finish The Witcher 3 first. But yeah, once that review is up, will definitely try and give you a decent response.
*post the review, I'm probably far enough now...
OMGOMGOMGWOW!!!!!!!
The most amazing dungeon, incredible puzzles and the most holy fuck moment of all time!!!!!
GOTY GOTY GOTY!!!!!!!!!

The minute a site takes advertising money it generates a conflict of interest when someone in that site writes something about the game. It goes agains the basic tenets of journalism. Even if it's not a conscious thing, it will happen.
Here's the direction I’d take Gagan's point in regards to this: the vast majority of critics are so incompetent that any conflict of interest actually has no effect because their reviews are so inadequate in and of themselves: meaningless waffle with a slant is indistinguishable from meaningless waffle.
Pretty much, I really don't think it's a product of they get paid or any of that. They just suck.
Anything difficult, complicated, something that requires actual skill, some of the critics will give you the impression that this is the first time they ever played a game. I'm still offended at the claims that The Evil Within is cheap. It's not a great game, and for Mikami standards it's disappointing, but cheap wasn't an issue with that game.
Not really spoilers...
Calling it now, one way or the other. It's not really spoilers cause I don't really know, but the Arkham Knight is either Harley, getting revenge on Batman for "killing" The Joker, using her connections from the Suicide Squad to amass an army --OR-- it is The Joker himself, not dead, having had his face put on a decoy body by that criminal mastermind from City... I can't remember his name... Batman can't exist without The Joker. It just doesn't work, unless this is really the day that Batman truly dies in this universe!
I'm pretty sure he's dead in the comics, having been replaced by Jim Gordon in a robotic Bat-Suit!
Don't answer one way or the other! IF you know, just let me know if I am on the right track!
It CAN'T be someone completely new! Who would care?! No one else should have the right to "end" The Batman, apart from those two... or one of the Bat-Family!
Thinking he goes on a delusional rampage after Scarecrow's toxin is released and he needs to be stopped... if it's neither of the two above and he needs to be stopped by one of the former Robins or Nightwing...
This is just pure speculation on my part but spoiler tagged anyway...............I'm thinking its a former Robin, someone within the family. Whoever he is was probably a friend at one time. He knows his tricks, his moves, are familiar with his tactics and contacts. This guy has training sort of like the military so that eliminates the Joker to me. Maybe he's someone we haven't seen since AA. Why choose the Arkham name?
Also pure speculation. Ninty would know more about this than me:
Harley is part of the Suicide Squad. They are trained by the US government to do missions they wouldn't send normal soldiers in to to do.
She is also a trained Psychiatrist; dealing with The Joker was what made her go crazy to begin with.
She knows all about obsession and compulsion; her mind would twist in a way as to allow her to obsess over detail and make Batman seem predictable to her...
If you listen to the voice of the Knight, he speaks like Harley does, in that "street thug-ish" kind of way, although obviously altered to make her sound like a man.
Harley also has a relationship with Poison Ivy, giving her enhanced strength, enhanced speed and immunity to toxins and poisons.
Could be why the Knight isn't too afraid of getting out of Gotham. Harley is specifically immune to Ivy's poisons; if Scarecrow's Fear Toxins are made in part using Ivy's DNA, Harley would be completely immune.
Could also be why they locked Ivy up in the first place, to conceal the Knight's identity!
More speculation going on here….......................................,,,,......!?!!!)),........,....………................................
I thought it would be kind of cool if the current Robin was the Knight, pissed at Batman for not giving him a chance a being a douche to him.
I sure hope the mystery of who the Knight is isn't ruined for me. There's quite a few spoilers that I don't mind, but that one would piss me off.
A few sites are discussing it, but I am resisting temptation! This is something I need to see first hand!
So I put a ton of time I go this and love the game. But I spfeel city is still better because city had dungeons and boss battles and this game so far has neither. The city itself houses the majority of predator maps and puzzles. Indoor areas are very simple. The dungeon design of city created focused gameplay sections where new items were introduced and used in interesting puzzles. It's the zelda philosphy that works extremely well. Here I feel like new gadgets have taken a huge backseat to the batmobile. Rarely are they used in any meaningful way. I have seen minor puzzles with them in a few spots, roddler trophies seem to be toned down with the puzzling as well. I get it, we can't do all the same things the last games did, well come up with new abilities for these gadgets.
The story is fantastic, the atmosphere is as good as ever, this is a batman fans dream game. There is so much to do, so much fantastic gameplay variety. But since it is almost always out in the city I feel distracted all the time. I want those focused moments of pure gameplay and puzzle solving.
Other than that it's amazing.
