Oh yeah I definitely was a constant trader of games just until fairly recently that's why I don't have much of anything from previous gens. I think it was only about 4 years ago when I decided to hang on to the games I purchase. I'm still waiting for my special dudebro present for passing 100 360 games. Nyaa

Just counted my digital game collection and it breaks down like so:
  • Xbox 360 - 86 games
  • Wii - 37 games
  • 3DS - 20 games
  • PS3 - 5 games
Total digital games - 148

Most of the Wii and all the 3DS games are technically games belonging to other systems that are simply emulated for the hardware but I just kept it simple and listed them under those systems.

Archie, you give your 360 Five times as much love as your ps3 or Wii. Poor babies you should donate them.

Around 2006 I got sick of having an insane amount of games and traded almost everything in, including my entire PS1, PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast, and Xbox libraries. Then regretted it.

Since then I have really only been keeping the games I REALLY like...stuff that really impressed me or is part of a favorite franchise. I still have my entire N64 collection, and I rebought my entire Dreamcast collection and then some. I have around 4 PS1 games, 2 PS2 games, 1 Gamecube game and 10 Xbox games.

On newer machines I have like 30 Xbox 360 games, 5 or 6 PS3 games, and about 15 Wii games. Of course on the PC I have an insane amount but its 95% digital. And I have a handful of Wii U games already.

Well of course since it is five times better of a system. Nyaa This shouldn't really be a surprise though as I've always stated that the 360 has been my system of preference this gen. Ever since the N64 I get Nintendo systems for Nintendo games with a few third party exclusives here and there, PS3 for exclusives, and 360 for exclusives and all multiplats. I'm quite content with what I have for my non-360 systems so I'd never give them away.

I think I'm on a similar pattern, though the past two months, all of my multiplats were on PS3.

I'm consumerist when it comes to music, games and books (and films to a lesser extend) and I am also a hoarder, against my better judgement and against where I need to be as a person.  I think it stems from having been denied those things as I was growing up (due to my parents not being able to afford them).  As a result I have been spending every bit of disposable income (since I started having any) on those things.  But I made a point of changing that last October.  For the most part I stuck to that.  I have bought comparatively very few games, cds, and vinyls since then and started ploughing through my immense backlog.

I have never sold or traded anything in, due to my possessive nature ... but that is also against my better judgement and far from where I want to be as a person, so I am hoping that I will also do something about that in time.  Problem is so many of my games I have never even played once, so I'd feel bad getting rid of them ... even if I have a pretty good idea that I will never get around to most of them.

Leo one time said that he wants to "own no more than he can fit into the back of a car".  That is how I want to be also.  A nomad
