I got the two teammates that I picked for the final battle. Namely, Liara and Garrus. To be honest, I regretted having Ashley first and then Miranda as my LIs in the games. The final conversation with Liara was very moving.

That's odd, cause I used Edi and Javik the entire game and Javik was not in my ending.

Maybe that was a fart from the game, what with javik being DLC but clearly developed to take a huge part in the game's events.

OK. Now I get how the Ending works. Turns out, I did it wrong the first time. Grabbing the Blue (Control) is the "Renegade" ending, whereas Destroying the Red (Freedom) is the "Paragon" ending. I got confused by the colors of the two opposing choices, not even realizing there was a THIRD. (What can I say, it was 1:30AM at that point!) My philosophies behind the ending still stand because of the outcomes of your choices. What changes is this... and this explains why I was confused when I saw Edi, thinking all Synthetics were being destroyed by Grabbing the Blue... If you get a "Perfect" Ending, the characters that will emerge are Joker, your love interest, and either one of your ending team. When I chose to Grab the Blue, I got Edi. When I chose to destroy the Red, I lost Edi, but Javik was there. Apparently, choosing "Green" or "Synthesis" allows a new strain of DNA and --ONLY-- Joker and Edi emerge. Joker has Green Eyes in this ending, and Edi and he are shown embracing, very much in love. Choose (Blue) Control, Shepard sacrifices himself (Reapers survive!). Choose (Green) Synthesis, Shepard sacrifices himself, but a new form of Life is born (Reapers survive!) Choose to Destroy (Red), The Reapers (and the Geth and Edi Sad ) are destroyed... but in the very last scene Shepard survives!

He's just a strong personality. He has a very straightforward way to approach things and little in the way of tolerance for the immature races of the universe, and what he believes to be their frivolous ways.

Yes, I finally did encounter Jack. I was raiding the Cerberus base when I heard "I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" For a brief moment, I thought it might be her aiding me, but no, she was indoctrinated. She is there for a brief moment in Phantom form, before you have to fight and kill her. If you have Edi with you, she'll say something like: "I believe that was Jack, Commander." Shepard replies with something like: "Yet another thing Cerberus will pay for."

Sad

I liked the idea of the ending but the execution was bad. The ship crashing came out of nowhere. Characters that are supposedly dead magically show up outside the normandy. Plus we get no closure on anything. And basically billions get blown up by the exploding Mass relays and almost all races are stranded on Earth. So it is not a happy ending at all.

but the thing is, MR explosions don't kill billions of people apparently. According to BW writer, at least. And FTL traveling was still possible so I guess people could get back home...much slower than before, but still.

SPOILER......................................................................................

But it blew up an entire batarian system. If that happens everywhere, thats a lot of blown up systems. True about the FTL.

That's what logic dictates, but apparently lead writer hinted at the possibility that it doesn't happen like that in the ending. Maybe there'll be more light shed up in the upcoming dlc.

Which is why the ending sucked. Not the story it was trying to tell, just the mess it left in its wake. Everything else in this entire series is so well done, then the ending feels like it was glued together by a totally different developer.

The Crucible sent massive amounts of energy along the pathways of the mass relays. Sure the relay may have exploded, but it wasn't the same as if a planetoid crashed into it and all the energy was released THERE. It shows the energy traveling along the mass relay paths... It was a contained explosion where the bulk of the energy was used to chain destroy the rest of the relays. Joker and the Normandy just happened to get caught in the wake of one of the energy releases.

...and who was supposed to be dead?

Did you pick Blue (Control), Red (Destruction and Freedom) or Green (Synthesis)?

My partners, they specifically said EVERYONE during the charge died, so they died. Then they magically show up at the end in the ship perfectly healthy. I choose blue, I could not kill EDI or the Geth.

I don't know what happened in your game, but in mine, I got separated from my two other teammates before the charge. It was a group of guys you met in London and Anderson that were in the charge.
