I used to like Dark Forces.
But X-Wing on PC was cool at the time, it was like a flight sim controls but with star wars combat. Then they released X-Wing vs Tie Fighters
But my favourite has to be Rogue Squadron which was a graphical beast on GC launch, had great arcade controls and was really solid and fun too.
I also remember rebel assault which was an old PC game. At the time CD-ROMs were first coming out and we were all fitting them to our existing desktops.
It was exciting back then for the CD quality audio, speech and now crappy, cutscenes.
Jedi Academy was ok, but Jedi Outcast blows it away. That was a really good game, probably the best SW game outside the KOTOR series.
KOTOR is by far the best...folloWed by KOTOR 2. Hell, I think these two games are the best things ever created for SW, period.
Its by a mile KOTOR. Then comes everything else.
I would say the X-Wing games are next, Tie Fighter and Alliance were awesome. The Jedi Knight games were fantastic. Rogue Squadron 2 is stellar. Republic Commando is surprisingly good. Oh and that Star Wars Trilogy Arcade was super awesome.

OMG! The memories.... of me andmy cousin beating each other's score over and over.
I forgot about Republic Commando...that game is like a clone of both Metroid and Halo but very good.

I missed the controversy on this. Was it bad? I see Obsidian in the bottom of the box.

Totally agree here, loved game online and off Jedi Knight II was also great along with expansion Return of The Sith. KOTOR was great two these four games = best .

I don't know what other people's problems with it was, but it's the second worst beginning to a game I've ever played. Second only to Neverwinter Nights. Ugh, I gave up after a few hours of utter shite.
KOTOR suffered from a few really slow, boring parts too. That's why it's definitely not the best Star Wars game to me.

That whole trilogy of space combat games was easily the best.
I also have fond memories of Shadows of the Empire on N64. and Rogue Squadron was good on GC.
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, yo.
Listen to Iced Earth and play Doom
This question entered my mind after reading a thread at the GGD. Which would be the best game in this bloated and lucrative franchise? I was under the impression that KOTOR was as good as it gets for a SW game, but I dunno if that just applies to RPGs.
I own the Jedi Academy or whatever they're called games on Steam. Never played any. Those good?
