The next Zelda game better star Groose.

Yes!  And Item Check Girl!

Peatrice is her name, remember it. Also Orielle is awesome. I love her character design.

Finished the third mission after dungeon 6 and again clever new mechanics are used. I will not spoil what, but it is awesome. Upgraded all my equipment to the max and I have done all the sidequest that give you gratitude crystals, also known as the starbits is Mario Galaxy. The sidequest are fun, the characters are engaging.

Also dowsing is actually handly know. You can track down stuff you actually want and once you get the hang of it, it feels kinda satisfying.

After that a new and very intense section opened up.

And then I finally opened up the 7th dungeon. I will do the dungeon tomorrow, but I did take a sneak peak. It kinda looks normal compared to the other dungeons, but from what I can tell, the central gimmick is going to blow your mind.

Finished the trails before after the 6th dungeon and loved them all. (MINOR SPOILERS) It was a platformer like game in some, stealth action in others and a really great new area for the end. I enjoyed the variety of it all and they changed every area so it feels new.

Now there is a certain character that allows you to do trials which are basically the spirit realm stuff timed, which is exactly what I wanted so that is cool, and boss rush mode. I guess this replaces the enemy gauntlet levels which were AWESOME. Instead they just have you do stuff you already did. Oh and in boss rush mode guess what (SPOILERS) you fight the Imprisoned three more times, one for each mode. Stupid crap I can't stand that battle, it was nice once, maybe twice, its moronic now. I am disappointed this is what they came up with for "trials".  Its all optional but usually optional stuff in Zelda games are awesome.

The last dungeon was fantastic. What a great interesting dungeon mechanic they added, cool stuff. But that dungeon does reflect many of the issues some have with the game. What it does is make great use of everything that has come before hand, exactly what a last dungeon should do but its not like a real dungeon as there is no new item or boss.

The story gets better at the end but its still a bit messy. I see what they are trying to do but this timeline is a disaster so any attempt to make an origin story just doesn't fit.  Final boss is cool but I found it to be easy, they could have done more, especially after the epicness that was TPs ending. It's still a magnificent game that has incredible variety and new controls that I feel are the best of the series. Combat was fun and interesting throughout and my Link was in danger of dying at times which is new (though I had so many potions that it didn't matter). The highs were some of the best in the series but the lows are the lowest as well.
My biggest complaint in all this is how the game feels held back by some crazy obsession Nintendo has to make sure everyone can enjoy this game. That is a nice thing to strive for but not when it starts to effect the puzzles and complexity of dungeons. There is already a million built in help systems in this game and yet they still never go crazy with the puzzles or difficulty. It all comes down to this, almost every single puzzle in this game has one level, its basically use item on object. Maybe you get a few where you use one item to use another item but that is rare. Puzzles like that are simple, the best puzzles have multiple levels to it, you do an action that leads to possibility of doing another action that leads to the solution. I know Zelda games don't have the greatest puzzles but they are usually more complex than this, they make you think of a while, or even get stuck thinking. I maybe got stuck for 3 minutes at most in this game, that is not good for a Zelda game.
Stop holding back, stop being afraid of giving the players choices, to allow them to get lost for a while. That was the basis of this series and with each game we seem to be getting further and further away from that. Nintendo are still masters of level design, they know how to make compelling gameplay with interesting scenarios but you have to take it further, they can do so much more with this.
And so this is very bitter sweet. 5 years of waiting and its over. I had a blast, not exactly what I hoped for but I guess I shouldn't expect the best game ever each time a Zelda game comes out, I just hold this series to the highest of standards. I will dig into hero mode next, lets see if that makes it challenging. *Sigh*, now I probably have to wait another 5 years. Wait Darksiders 2 comes out next year right, thats some Zelda goodness right there.

Worst 3D Zelda game ever. Sounds so negative but that still makes it one hell of a game.

Okay finished the second of the three missions after dungeon 6 and what an awesome way to wash away that sour taste of the first mission. This one had a cool and clever puzzle near the end. Yes this is more like it. After that I went on upgrading my items. I just need one upgrade and everything is upgraded to the max. For that upgrade I need one item which I can find easily and ruppees. Yeah ruppees still have use this late in the game.

Also the mother of all sidequests has openened up. I am not spoilering what it is, but Vader your wish has come true, somewhat!

What are you talking about? I did almost everything, very disappointing side quests in this game. Also rupees have zero use for me after the midway point. I upgraded everything like 20 hours ago, since then there has been NOTHING new to get. Beedle SUCKS. What happended to the super items that cost a billion rupees. Plus I keep getting all these treasures and bugs that are worthless now.

I advise everyone to don't go out of your way to find rupees, treasures, bugs or even hidden stuff in old areas. The game will take you back to every location so just wait till you do. Maybe if you space out upgrades more you will have use for treasure later on.

About the same. But I definetly loved the world of WW more than SS. SS does have better dungeons, gameplay areas, combat, bosses... ok so maybe SS is better. I need to think about it. But SS has so much crap that is annoying that is not in WW, but WW has crappy has hell sailing.

You know what I find the scariest? That we might go back to button controls! I really want a direct sequel. I want to fly again and I want 1-1 sword fighting again. Fi can go away, she kinda is like the Owl in Oot, just shut up.

I love these controls, best ever for a Zelda game. But they need to do away with controlling characters with the motion, a stick works much better for movement.

That said flying sucked simply cause there was nothing to do. Plus no fast travel. It was just a boring pain. If they made the world interesting then it would be awesome. I miss my horse.

No, the scariest would be the Wii U Zelda controlling like Phantom Hourglass. *shudders*

Just made it to the fourth dungeon.  Holy crap, I do not want Phantom Hourglass gameplay in my console Zelda.  Wait, it wasn't so bad, kinda enjoyable. I'm loving the new items.  The Beetle is a joy to use and swimming is not half bad.  It's no worse than previous Zelda games.

I just finished the last dungeon and was about to fight the last boss, before I was kicked out the living room by my mom Hrm Good thing that I could save, tomorrow I will finish it.

About the last dungeon, it does not get enough love. It is fucking genius, one of the best dungeons in the game. It has everything you want.

Also dungeon 3, 4 and 5 are some of the best dungeons in a Zelda game ever. I easily put it in the list of Forest Temple (OoT), Spirit Temple (OoT), Eagle's Tower (LA), Stone Tower (MM), Arbiter's Ground (TP), Snowpeak Mansion (TP) and City in the Sky (TP).

About being the best Zelda ever, it is hard to tell. Each one has their own strengths and weaknesses. There are things that other Zelda games do better, but there are thing this game does better. Hard to say.

I am disappointing with the music. It sound nice and atmospheric, but I can't hardy remember any song. After Xenoblade and the two Galaxy games, this one kinda disappointing.

I don't see why dungeon 4 gets so much love, it had cool stuff but was pretty basic. 3 and 5 were the best.
