Listening now, sound quality has dropped
To answer Dvaders questions, HOTD has around 7-8 levels I think all between 25-40 minutes each, times that by two to include the directors cut. But that still doesn't tell the ful story.
It's not like UC and you can really tell the difference. UC is far slower, there is a lot of poncing about, slow shooting and repeated environments. HOTD is pure goregasm per second. It's like a roast beef minus the fat and better for it. For a start the actual gunplay is so much more satisfying over UC that you will replay this game again and again and again. Then there is the scoring system which hooks together score combos based on how much violence you perpetrate on screen.
You earn points and use them to buy and upgrade weapons so the goal is to buy all guns and upgrade them all. So you will be replaying to earn points.
On top of that the unlockables are really well presented - see the thread for more info. They set you challenges to unlock them, like complete the carny level with no continues and just the hand cannon. They are so good, the extras that you actually do want to unlock them all.
There is two player, minigames and you unlock a dual wield mode in single player after directors cut.

That sounds fantastic.
The only thing that holds it back are a couple of technical issues. This game has Metroid Prime 3 quality visuals only MP3 runs at 60 FPS. It could be longer, but honestly the core gameplay is so satisfying that you just want to play it all again.
By the last two levels you come to a point in the middle of this prison level for instance and you are in the groove, the music is pumping, you're ferociously muttering swearwords under your breath as you blow chunks out of a fat guys chest with a shotgun. And then you come to the realisation that this is awesome. And the kill count at the end of the level is over 340

What the hell, no love for Final Fantasy IV: The After? What's the matter with you? It's the sequel to the greatest Final Fantasy game of all time. You should have devoted the entire podcast to that game alone.
I thought I loved on FF4.

You did and it was appreciated. But I could hear in your voice at one point the confusion of how there was no interest from anyone else. It was like, "ummmm no one else cares?? Seriously?"

You think that makes you special? Truth be told I haven't liked the series since FF VII. After that it went downhill and completely embraced the CGI and total cliches for characters.

Well I also trolled RE4 Wii Edition. So yes, I am special, dammit!
Who's interested?
No Vader, you're not coming on to discuss RE5.

Love to, but I'm afraid I'm without mic. If you ever do a psychic podcast let me know though.

I am indeed. I used to have one somewhere. No clue what happened to it. Exactly what is needed for the podcast. Is there anything else?

I listenend to the podcast, man I was really on a troll there!
Trolled Final Fantasy, RE4 Wii Edition and Vader. Got challenged by Homer to fight him in a MMA match. Yeah it was pretty cool.
Homer next time when you introduce me, I should have an entrance theme. That would be awesome.
