Yep. I decided to make my sidewalk with only one pattern, so I could change the design of all of them any time I wished simply by editing that one pattern. I also needed a design that didn't matter which way it was oriented, so came up with brown/grey checkerboard pattern.

Hey, can you order more of those Pikmin hats from Nook? If so, I'd really like to have one. Happy

I just sent you and Bugs some Ladder Shades. I recently read that they're exclusive DLC to North America, but they can be sent to other countries. If anyone else wants Ladder Shades, let me know!

 That would be awesome! Happy

Anyhoo, more pics!

I got my first house upgrade yesterday, so I have a little more breathing room. Nook's was closed all day yesterday, so I had to store my caught fish in my house.

I then quickly paid off my house again today, and will have my second house upgrade tomarrow morning. Woo! Happy

I caught an Ocean Sunfish this morning. I've never seen one of these before. Weird looking fish.

He's now chillin' in my museum.

Oooh, fireworks!

I like how the different color light from comes in through the windows during the fireworks show.

Nice touch, Nintendo.

I came across another scorpion tonight. I tried to catch him, but he stung me instead. Sad I decided to look up how to catch this little bastard, and found this ACC Thread.

Tarantula and Scorpion

The dreaded beasts; these two bugs are nocturnal, and appear from 7 PM to 4 AM during the summer months. The Tarantula is first to appear, and can be found lurking around on June nights. The Scorpion then joins the party in July. You have the whole of July and August to catch them both. Once August is over, the tarantula is back into hibernation, but the scorpion continues to roam until mid-September.

There are several ways to catch these two monsters, but it’s not easy… certainly not as easy as a butterfly. Here is a step-by-step guide to catching the two, without them catching you!

Tarantula/Scorpion Catching Method

• Make sure while doing all of this, you DO NOT have your net out. They don’t like nets, and will bite you if they see you with one. This will result in you being sent back to your house, and having to start all over again.

• Now, make sure that it’s not raining. These two bugs don’t like water, and will also disappear if your gate is open.

• Next, find one. The best way to tell if one is near you is to walk around casually, without your net. Both the Tarantula and Scorpion make a rustling sound while moving, so listen out for that. Once you can tell one is near you, you’re ready to proceed.

• An absolute must while catching these bugs, is to move slowly. If you move too quickly, they will get scared and run away. Now all you have to do is creep up behind it. With the scorpion, this is easy – just look for it’s tail. But with the tarantula, this is not the case. To find the back of the tarantula, stand well back, and wait for it to move. Now you should hopefully be able to locate the back.

• Once you know which side is the back (and you’re standing behind it) there’s only one thing left to do. Make sure that the bug is absolutely stationary, and whip your net out. It’s much quicker to do this by using the D-pad, and making sure your net is the only thing in your inventory. Now, simply swing directly at the bug, and pray that your net lands right over it. If you miss, you’re in big trouble – it will see your net, and bite you.

So, by now, you should have either caught the bug, or ended up in front of your house. Congratulations!

We have about three weeks to catch a tarantula, and a month or so to catch the scorpion before both go into hibernation until next summer. Time for a serious bug hunt!

Whenever a firework exploded over the town hall, all of the animals would look up and clap. It was a fairly easy pic to capture. Near as I can tell, this only happens at town hall.

I don't remember that fish. Hmm, I may not have played EO long enough to see it. I'll return to that game one of these days. *blows an inch of dust off of the game box*

I gots me a bigger house now . . . again. Nook is most definately a crook! He added two feet to each side of my house, and now he's charging me 248,000 bells for the remodel. Sad

Nice! You must have fast reflexes. I tried that three times, and all three times, I was stung. Sad

 Turnips: 61

I didn't put anything in the auction because I had nothing to cool to sell there. Well, except for fish. I doubt I can auction off fish.

Whats going on in Menagery and what was the inspiration for the name of your town?

Initially I called mine Fortress because I imagined it being invaded via the gates by online interlopers.
