  • No matter how many times I try to change it, my avatar is still the blue cat.
  • Also, youtube seems to be dropping the USE OLD EMBED CODE option, from what I've seen recentely. How do we post videos here without it?

You should be good now for the avatar.  I don't know what it is about the uploads folder that likes to be so fussy.

At present time, there's no other way.  It was already a consideration on things I'm already working on, though it could be a while.  Interim I would bet the iframe embeds can still be converted.  This weekend I'll look at a script you can put it through to automatically convert it.

As with most things, it appears a tool already exists that will do that

You have to enter just the part after the v= in the URL.  So for

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd-YkMZs6Po

Enter just

xd-YkMZs6Po

in the box

Post it even if it's wrong and maybe I can tell what you're doing

Yoda, can you pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease fix the "Hide" button on the individual posts? Pleeeease? If you hide something, then refresh, or hide and leave the page and come back, it doesn't stay hidden. Don't know if it's a browser bug or not. If it is, I am using Chrome. If I choose to hide all the read messages in my options it works, but there are some posts I'd like to see and others I would not. Pretty please?

I outright forgot that was a thing!  I have the automatic collapse enabled to anything I've seen before is automatically collapsed when the page is refreshed.  I'll have to see what's happening.
