The two major contenders are Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Red Dead Redeption.
The other candidates will be Mass Effect 2, Gran Turismo 5, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, DKC Returns, God of War 3, Bayonetta, Starcraft 2 and Civ 5. MGS: PW and Super Meat Boy will get some love from somewhere.

edit: come to think of it, I played NMH2 as soon as it was released which was definitely this year in europe though it may have been last year in the US. And I almost finished Galaxy 2. So that's almost two
