The article says it would be cool to see Snipes vs Stallone in a Demolition Man rematch.

THE TOMB

If they were only younger. My teenage self would have gone apeshit over this image.

Unlike Expendables this is a full movie where they are the two stars.

It's still pretty cool, even though they are older.

Marvel has reclaimed Daredevil from Fox.

Fox has cancelled the 70s Daredevil from the A-Team director.

Arnie The Last Stand debut trailer

Expendables 2 review

The Expendables 2″ is exactly the movie you thought you were going to get when you saw the trailer and tried to throw money at the screen. Whereas the first movie sort of gyped fans on a real team-up between the three main guys (Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Willis) in the first movie, the sequel finally delivers that long-awaited team-up.

The Kick Movie review from Ong Bak director

“The Kick” is a fun, fast paced and action packed film, and one which should definitely be enjoyed by any fans of the recent wave of Thai martial arts cinema, or genre aficionados in general. Prachya Pinkaew, Panna Rittikrai and the whole cast are all on great form, and the result is a film which though suitable for all ages never pulls its punches or falters in its desire to thrill and entertain.

Arnie has not aged well. I think Sly looks like a grizzled old hero, Arnie is starting to look more like an old lesbian.

I dare say they're both lesbians. Probably lovers.

Cool. Start with Detective Dee. I Saw the Devil is cool too but very violent.

The thread is near 50 pages Grinning

I have lost touch a bit with this thread posting less as not many people were interested in 90% of the stuff I post, then someone comes in with some hobbit or Batman news and there is a 8 post spike.

Trailer For 'The Assassins'

The trailer has been released for 'The Assassins' (AKA 'Bronze Sparrow Terrace'), an upcoming Chinese period epic directed by Zhao Lin-Shan. The film picks up the story of Han Dynasty Prime Minister Cao Cao (Chow Yun Fat) just as his power was growing and he threatened to take over the Han Empire.

Synopsis

In the year 198 BC, Cao Cao (Chow Yun Fat), the Prime Minister of Han Dynasty, ventured to the east and defeated China’s greatest warrior Lv Bu, terrifying every ambitious warlord across the country. Several years later, after taking the Han Emperor under his wing Cao crowned himself King of Wei. He built a magnificent Bronze Sparrow Island to symbolize his power and rumors spread that he would replace the Emperor.

Meanwhile, young lovers Mu Shun (Tamaki Hiroshi) and Ling Jv (Liu Yi Fei) were taken from a prison camp to a hidden tomb where they spent five cruel years together being trained as assassins for a secret mission. In the year 220 BC astronomical signs predict dramatic change. As a result, Cao’s son Cao Pi (Qiu Xin Zhi) and Cao’s followers urge Cao to become the new Emperor. However opposing forces plot against him.

'The Assassins' is due for release across China at the end of September.

It's not a very cool movie, it's great but it's so dark, disturbing and downright unpleasant!

I know, but still... I wasn't expecting it to be so brutal and violent. In part I'm grateful (After almost 10 years of shitty PG-13 action and horror films we had to go back to the dark side with films like Dredd 3D, Martyrs, A Serbian Film, Piranha, The Raid, Drive Angry, Grindhouse, Hobo With A Shotgun, The Expendables, etc.) but it was still a bit jarring.

What do you guys think of this

It looks good. I assume this is Rza's first movie, interesting to see how it turns out. It's got Russel Crowe, that got my attention.
