You should try renting Wolverine and the X-Men, its a really good series, sadly cancelled after 1 season, if it had continued it would have been as good as Avatar - the series.

New Amazing Spider-Man Set Images Reveal Uncle Ben, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors

Question, do you guys even know who Gwen Stacy is? I have read the first 150 issues of Spiderman so I know, but if I hadn't I would only be familiar with Mary Jane.

I know her! I know her!!  Bringing her into Spider-Man 3 was probably the worst idea ever.

I really don't think it matters too much if the average joe doesn't know the supporting cast. Hell, most people probably don't know who the Lizard is.

I read the 1971 Avengers Kree Skrull war. Then I randomly watch the new 2010 Avengers animation and the very first episode has Mandroids and Tony Stark stolen tech and Nick Fury and SHEILD coming down on his ass.

Oooopps, that sounds wrong. Anyway, strange coincidence, well not coincidence but nice to see old references.

For comic book buffs, what Spidey story do you think would make a good movie? I would like to see the Clone Saga or maybe Secret Wars although the latter may be a little too unreal in concept for some.

The Clone Saga? A movie? God no. That is universally considered one of the worst Spider-Man stories ever written. I won't say it nearly killed the character, but it put him in a hole for a while.

As far as storylines from the classic series Kraven's Last Hunt was an excellent storyline though it would likely need some set-up since that's almost a send off for the character. I'd love to see Kraven in the movies period. He's not as glamorous or over-the-top as a lot of the villians but for that very reason I think he'd work out perfectly as a movie character.

Also I'd love to see something based on the Sinister Six or even Maximum Carnage (a more senselessly violent take on the same story theme). I'm always a big fan of seeing Spider-Man go up against multiple villians all at once. But it would need to be treated as a climax to several movies after the villains were introduced. Seeing him go up against two new villains in Spider-Man 3 did not work at all because it wasn't enough time to build either of them up.

Wow, cannot believe I forgot about Maximum Carnage. I have never read the CLone wars, just seen the TV adaptation and the Insidious six TV set is probably the Sinister Six?

Did you read the new revised 6 part Clone Saga? I have it, and Kravens last hunt to read. Also heard about this Spiderman One More day thing, I got it. Is it any good?

One More Day was awful. The storyline was a VERY lame attempt to reverse a lot of the things they did with the character over the past few years. It was a way to give him back his secret identity a year after he revealed it and to unmarry him to Mary Jane without divorcing or killing her. Seriously that was mandate. The editor-in-chief of Marvel at the time for some reason hated Mary Jane and wanted Spider-Man to go back to being younger and unmarried with fewer personal responsibilities. It was something else that no one else in the world wanted. There was no fan demand, but at that asshole's whim they completely uprooted twenty-five years of Spider-Man stories.

I will admit a few funny stories have come from the after effects with it, mainly involving Peter Parker's (and Spider-Man's) love life. He got to nail Black Cat, so that counts for something. But overall it still didn't need to be done.

And I never read the new retelling of the Clone Saga. The original version of it left a very bad taste in my mouth. Between that and the follow-up story, Maximum Cloneage, the mid 90's were a crappy time for Spider-Man and one I prefer to think never happened.

Sounds dodgy, but I can kind of understand it. With these characters unless its a standalone graphic novel the writers don't have artisitic licence to kill people off or whatever or change anything big a lot of the time. The first page of the new clone saga is an editorial saying that its done by the original writers and an attempt to make a shorter better version as was intended. It will be curious reading the old vs the new.

I'm so turned off after Spiderman 3, and the last two X-men before the Wolverine one. I was not impressed with the trailer I will watch it on cable I figure.
