Inspired by the fine art work of Vader and Travo I thought I'd go back to this old blog and allow my son to look at cover art and tell you what he thinks the name should be. Today we decided to focus on Super Nintendo games to ensure he wouldn't be familiar with them. And here we go:

Chrono Trigger = Try Beating the Tiger

Final Fight = Nicholas Beats Joey

Kirby's Dream Course = Kirby Slides Away

Maximum Carnage = Orange Guy Looking At Me

Phalax = Farmer In Outspace

My niece and nephew are old enough to read, so their responses wouldn't be fun --HOWEVER-- upon sending my nephew a mug shot of slime, his response was:

"My friend Ryan and I didn't know his name, so we called him the Little Blue Poop."

I didn't get the off the wall answers I was hoping for this time, but dammit we spent the time to do it so I'll be damned if I let that 20 minutes go to waste.  His name for Final Fight kind of confused me though. I'm not asking questions on why he thinks they look like kids from his school.

The ones closer to the cover are funny anyway.

Nicholas Beats Joey is one of the best ever for example.

Glad you guys liked it. We'll do it again soon. He has a lot of fun doing for it.

Do you just cover the title with your hand?

It depends. On some games the font is kind of funky and he doesn't quite understand that he's looking at words. In other cases it's a game like Phalanx that he can't read yet. In a few though, yes I do cover it with my hand or creative use of a window over my browser.
