Gentlemen if you have me as a 3DS friend you may want to get ready to remove me. I've spent all of 5 hours playing with my 3DS in 2012 and that isn't likely to change any time soon. I've spent more time taking pictures with it than playing games on it and I think a reality has set in that I no longer have a lifestyle that really makes handheld gaming a viable way to spend time. When I worked out of a home office it was perfect for killing small bits of time (or large ones during companywide conference calls). Now that I'm in an office those opportunities are long gone. And it's not that I don't really want to play the games that are available because there's several I'm really interested in like Kid Icarus and RE:Revelations. But when I get home, the idea of staring at a small screen just doesn't appeal to me after I've already spent 8 hours staring at another computer screen from 2 feet away.

The only time I've really spent considerable time with it was during Easter weekend when I was stuck with the in-laws and that's not going to happen often enough to make me think I'll be playing it anytime soon. So as of 5 minutes ago it went up on Craigslist to see if I can trade it for something equally good that I can use. I'm loathe to just take it to Gamestop for credit since I've got around 15 eShop games on it, and those won't count for anything as a trade-in.  I'll make a note of it to everyone if I do indeed go through with it, but I wanted to post something about it now. You know, just in case you guys get a 3-D penis picture from me via Swapnotes a week from now. Just want you to know it wasn't me.

GASP Don't be the guy who spends more time on talking about games than playing games!

You need a game transfusion, fast.
(I'll have to look up Path of Radiance)

This is a serious condition that needs to be erradicated quick. If it is something you really love do it, dont just talk about it.

Yeah, I'm guilty of that too.  Though, I've improved, and I try not to talk too much about things I haven't played or have interest in playing.

Logging the games I finish has given me more of an insentive to do so.  Also having got a nice big HD tv means I can enjoy my console games much more now ... so I do!

My statement is not intended as a castigation, more an encouragement.  I realise that thete are things in life which often interject and overshadow mere hobbies.

Yeah, such as thumbing up the guy who uses the word guilt and possibly supports your hateful categorisation while ignoring the one who possibly does not. Hrm

Emoticon posts don't get +1's unless they are ironic.

I'm already that guy.

A lot of games I see bore me or don't excite me at all. I like chatting to you guys more and hearing the news. I'll play on and off, but I'm not this insatiable gaming beast anymore. There's lots of other stuff to do.
