I intended to make this a more long-winded entry, but I am in a bit of a hurry, and it's only something I needed to share with you guys, nothing big.
Today we had the year's end event for children in our clinic (it's actually about to end right now). It's a small get together that the staff organizes every year before going out on vacation, where we give the kids in our clinic candy, cake, a few small gifts, and try to give them at least one day where they can forget they're ill, where they can be just children. Singing, playing and breaking piƱatas.
Watching our kids laugh and run and dive for candy made me realize that hope is something nobody should lose.
That life is stronger than we all think.
