So, as I spotted in the DLSS 4 trailer Nvidia released they've improved it for all rtx series.
The Blackwell rtx 40 and 50 series get every new feature including frame generation.
But all series models get the rest of the improvements. This is important as Switch 2 was rumoured as having Dlss 3.5 at one point, then Universo Nintendo editor said it was 3.1
But even the most conservative estimate put it at dlss 2.0
It's rumoured that the T239 in Switch 2 is in line with rtx 3050 series.
So Nvidia dlss4 improvements were listed for all series cards including the weakest 20 series.
They've changed the rendering model from CNN to a transformer method for more stable and better rendering.
Plus there's enhanced deep learning anti aliasing, enhanced dlss super resolution and enhanced ray reconstruction for ray tracing.
This is cool, on the back side of the Switch, approximately below the usb c port at the top there seems to be a large magnetised circle area.
I can imagine a magnetic power bank or HDD that just clips on there.
Edit: this may be just the 3rd party case shown
GG is going to go through some serious withdrawal issues when Nintendo finally gets around to officially announcing the Switch 2 and the rumour well dries up.
Don't know what they're doing, everything leaked.
It's looking less and less likely, but I hope they still have some surprises to reveal, like how it will also make perfect toast, as the design is looking uncharacteristically itterative - read: boring.
I'm lukewarm on the system, unfortunately. My gaming "needs" are met almost completely by my Series X, and I'm more inclined to buy any Xbox handheld that should release. Even with all the problems that Xbox has created for itself over the years, I've spent more money on, and have more interest in, games that have appeared or will appear on Xbox but likely not on a Nintendo system. The only series exclusive to Nintendo that interest me are Smash Bros, which we don't know the status of and in which my interest has declined with age and changing circumstances; Metroid, which is a must-have but is often overshadowed by games on Xbox I would rather have; and Zelda, which has the same status for me as Metroid, but with the added note that Tears of the Kingdom was a real let-down.
Perhaps it's just nostalgia or tradition, but despite the above... I still want a Switch 2. I should probably quell this urge -- family and very little free time make most of my past gaming purchases wastes of money, especially given that I tend to fixate on some games for huge stretches of time (FromSoft games).
Also, Yoda (do you still go by this?), is there an issue with password reset emails? I got the indication that a password reset email would be sent so I could log in to my old Angry_Beaver account, but the email never arrived at the address I entered.
This is what it was talking about earlier. Looks like Switch 2 won't get frame generation but the rest of it looks likely.
There's a new rumour that sounds fake to me but it's come from 2 different random(s).
They say there's an app called Vidmeo built it like miiverse but you can upload videos and it will have a mobile phone app counterpart.
Lexar showed up at CES with a 1tb SD EXPRESS micro sd card.
They say it's not quite ready. But given how the largest size on amazon is 256gb I was worried we would have to wait years for larger sizes.
I almost bought a 1tb micro sd the other day. But an SD Express one would load all my Switch 1 games like 6-8 times faster.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. When it comes to revealing their new systems I think Nintendo actually hates doing it. They’re like Gollum and the one ring. They would rather stay in a cave with it and stroke it. “Our preciousssssssss! Those filthy hobbits will never get their hands on it!”
That reminds me, has the PlayStation Portal outsold the Wii U yet?
What ideas does switch 2 have to steal? A mouse sensor?
This is godamn ridiculous. There's a collage of all the stuff leaked on the system, it covers literally everything. Joycons, u stands, motherboards etc.
At this point it's patently ridiculous not to announce it. Plus we now have heard from a French journalist and from Genki that it's coming in April.
Yeah to be fair there's a huge number of new switch like gaming handhelds, some using the break away joycon design fairly blatantly. And now we hear Sony and Microsoft are working on handhelds. Plus Valve already released one.
Yeah there is a problem with that Ellayodasaurus had to rest mine (IIRC).
Since I have a Steamdeck I've cooled on Switch 2, but let's wait for the games, then I'll change my mind.
So genki has a ring on their steamdeck case and it's there to house an external ssd. So now people are wondering if they know that Switch 2 will house one.
Gamestop has Switch 2 1tb micro sd express cards listed for sale at $150
Edit, story linked in updates says these sd express card capacity goes up to 128 tb wtf is this even possible?
And if so, why are the largest ones, still unreleased tapping out at 1tb?
Edit 2, apparently it's true but I'm not entirely sure, as some articles are marking differences between the SD Express full size and the micro version.
I think the full size sd express can hold up to 128tb. Whereas the micro version may tap out at 2tb.
Mind blowing that the speed of the full size one seems to be 4gb per second while the micro is 900mb p/s
Full Switch 2 360 rotating look
Also I'm reading the screen is actually 8.4 inches not 8??
