I started Metroid Fusion this weekend through my Nintendo Online subscription. I haven't played this game since it was first released, so almost twenty three years ago. I'm probably about halfway done right now and am enjoying this old school Metroid game.
I poured in a lot of hours into Darkest Dungeon 2 this weekend. Although depending on how my current run ends, I may be taking a break from it. In just over a week I've almost put in 30 hours, which is actually pretty insane for me. But I've also hit a pretty big wall.
That's actually not a surprise, because that's pretty much how the original went for me as well. I'd play hit a wall, take an extended break, and then give it another go, get super lucky and breeze through it. But in the I've mean time, my teams have fallen apart way too many times on the third chapter and it doesn't feel like I'm making progress right now. So I might be switching over to ultros soon.
Oh, and I'm also in the middle of book four of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. I'm starting to wonder if this IP is going to make a jump outside of books and audio books soon. It wasn't on my radar and then a month ago a friend gave me the first audiobook. He's not really a gamer though, so I thought it was interesting that he came across it.
And then today, another friend, also definitely not a gamer, just mentioned that he had purchased the first book in paperback. And I have no idea where this guy found out about it. So I can't help but wonder if Amazon is quietly pushing awareness of it before something else happens, like a TV series.

I've been all over the shop this week. Played bits of Half Life 2, Superhot and Binary Domain of all things.
They are all still very good games.
Just a bit stuck right now looking for the next game to play.
In my exp, you can occasionally find high quality licensed T's at Walmart.
I really need to replay Half Life 1&2 before HL3 comes out later this year.
I've been playing Clair Obscur. The battle and levelling systems are so fun.
Looking forward to HL3 coming out before GTA6.
