The Witcher 3 director's new RPG
The Blood of Dawnwalker is different to that classic CD Projekt Red game in one big way: it doesn't have a main questeurogamer.net gamingeek
They're buying 'a' studio, not the whole of Bandai Namco.
Yes, Bandai Namco Singapore. The headline was incomplete. They're not just buying some shares, it's 80%, then the rest later.
Yes, but this is more akin to MS buying Rare from Nintendo back then. The headlines (not only yours) seem to imply that Nintendo is buying out the publisher Bandai Namco, when in effect, they're only taking over one team of developers.
It's as if Rare would have been called 'Nintendo UK' and the headlines would have read 'MS acquires 80% shares of Nintendo'. It's factually incorrect and misleading.
But again, not bashing you, I've seen this happen in multiple articles.
Yeah I just copy pasted what Travo posted in the updates as it made it sound as if Nintendo had just bought some Bamco shares.
They bought The Singapore support studio, getting whole ownership. You would think Bamco wouldn't have allowed it as the studio supported quite a few high profile games like Tekken.
There is no direct free "upgrade path" from the original Layers of Fear (2016) or Layers of Fear 2 to the newer 2023 version. The 2023 edition is a separate, full-priced product that functions as a comprehensive remake/anthology.
The 2023 "Layers of Fear" Edition
The 2023 release, simply titled Layers of Fear, is built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5 and bundles the entire series into one unified experience. It includes:
The original Layers of Fear (2016) and its Inheritance DLC.
Layers of Fear 2.
All previously released DLCs.
New content, including "The Final Note" (a new perspective on the first game's story) and the "Writer" story that ties the entire narrative together.
Significant visual and performance enhancements (ray tracing, better graphics) and new gameplay mechanics.
Purchasing Options
If you own the original games, you still need to purchase the 2023 version to access the upgraded engine, visual enhancements, and new narrative content.
I have one more 100cc race and that and 50cc Grand Prix modes will be complete with three stars on each. Yoshi is my main MK character usually, but I found I'm enjoying trying different characters with each race. Seems you need to play each character to unlock more of their costumes? I've unlocked quite a few now.

You get the whole list, you can sort it by newest, oldest, popular etc
It's buying out the whole studio. They bought 80% and will acquire the rest later.
Assassin's Creed Shadows Switch 2 deep dive
Read and watched this. Some good videos if you adjust the settings to watch in HQ.
Seems like Ubisoft is making a really conscious effort to put their best foot forward on Switch 2. It's $60 and includes all the DLC released so far.
My wife asked if there was a game that I would like for Christmas and I said the latest Assassins Creed.
Resetera said they played for 150 hours and only uncovered half the map.
Really hope Layers of fear has an upgrade path. I own both 1 and 2.
They're buying 'a' studio, not the whole of Bandai Namco.Ah, ok. Never thought of that. Fair enough I guess.
DK Country Returns is $30 at Target atm.
Already own it.

Tried the demo?I find the digging is more optional that gets you sidetracked. There is lots of platforming.

The demo just has you running around a mine digging and smashing stuff; I got bored after 10 minutes. I'll try it again.
I watch DFs latest video on Kirby's Air Ride. My first thought was they turned F-Zero into a Kirby game.

Yep, free mode is great for finding new costumes.
I am blind. I never saw the free roam option until you mentioned it. I googled to see how to unluck free roam, and found it was always unlocked.
