I made it to the first Oblivion Gate in Kvatch. Weird graphical glitches abound! These diagonal lines are supposed to be little floating fire embers. LOL They're everywhere in this level. I rebooted my PS5 but it's still there. Three weeks after release, BTW.

The PS5 version seems inferior to the Series S version. Good to know when GTA6 releases. Nyaa

I found a fix. It's caused by having Motion Blur enabled.

That cancelled Retro Studios game looks like Kameo. Meh fest.

I picked up Oblivion Remaster on PS5 this morning. I'm enjoying it well enough. I was able to boost the color vibrancy on my TV, so it doesn't look so drab.

DF wasn't overstating the performance issues with this game. It runs smoothly in dungeons but the overworld is a stutter fest and is quite distracting. Even remasters don't perform well on release these days? Sad.

Still a fun game, though. I hope they fix these issues and allow for mods on PS5 too.

I thought there was a 40fps performance mode?

Why we have Game-Keycards?:

Arc Systems Work got hacked and a lot of internal developer documents have been shared online, revealing things like that the console was supposed to release in March, but most interestingly the list of currently available formats for physical Switch 2 games:

• [DL] Digital game only
• [64GB] Game card with full game
• [POTION] Codename for Game-Key Card

As we all know, 64 GB cards are considerably more expensive that a PS5/Xbox Series X disc. So now we know the reason of why many developers are opting for Game-Key Cards, and why it's inevitable more will follow.

This news that only 64gb Switch2 carts are being sold is weird.

We already have file sizes for multiple 1st party games and they're all low. More in line with Switch 1 games than massive ps5 game sizes.

So would Nintendo be using an expensive 64gb card to hold an 11gb game?

Or are they saving small cart sizes for themselves and forcing 3rd parties to buy 64gb cards or go all digital?

That sounds like a bone headed and anti consumer, even anti business move that makes no sense.

The only other possibility i can think of is that whichever company is producing these carts only make them at a minimum size and isn't offering any lower data options.

I read someone speculating that because the carts have to be a new faster standard, they may have to come at a minimum size for technical reasons I can't explain.

I have a feeling that 3rd party games sales on Switch 2 are going to crater and the wrong conclusions will be read.

I personally won't buy game key cards games. I'd rather wait months or years to get them Digital when on sale.

I think 3rd party games key cards sales will be low and they'll come to the conclusion that people don't want to buy 3rd party games on Switch2

For me the only reason I'd buy a game key card would be for it to be a game that I'm interested in but unsure whether I'd actually like it or not so I could resell it.

And even if I did like the game I'd probably sell the game key cards and wait on a sale for a digital version.

I actually did this with Lego City which I bought on cart in 2017.

Now in 2025 you can pay $6 for it on sale on the eshop.

The framerate bothered me.

I wish. All current gen games should offer one. Unfortunately, there's only 60fps Performace and 30fps Quality modes in the game. To be fair, my TV states it's running in the upper 50s most of the time; the stuttering is frametime hitches from loading in new areas and assets.

I picked up this T-shirt from Walmart this morning. I had to get it since it's the og 1991 Sonic the Hedgehog, which is my favorite one in the series. Happy

Oh that's a shame.

I'd love to replay it. Have they toned down the procedural generated caves and towers?

Nope. It's pretty much exactly the same game with a new coat of paint. I was hoping the cave and dungeons wouldn't have so many repeating elements but alas, no. It's easy to get lost without the map, just like the original.

This weekend has been exclusively Oblivion Remastered (PS5) for me. I've put in around 10 hours so far. The game has its issues but I'm loving it anyway; I wasn't sure I would initially. It's Oblivion, warts and all, and it's still a lot of fun. The DuelSense force feedback is great when riding a horse; you can feel all four hooves hitting the ground independently and on different surfaces too. I don't know why I enjoy that effect so much but I do. I only notice it when riding a horse, though.

It’s been all Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for me this weekend. Finally into Act 3 of the game now and am doing as much side stuff before beating it. Also watched WWE Backlash. Was a good show.

I started Metroid Fusion this weekend through my Nintendo Online subscription. I haven't played this game since it was first released, so almost twenty three years ago. I'm probably about halfway done right now and am enjoying this old school Metroid game.
