I was disciplined in year 2 because the teacher said, "Did you children watch Pam Ayers (poet) on the government channel last night. I said yes, in fact, we taped it. She challenged me, and I said, My parents taped it.  I was sent to the principal's office because it was fanciful that anyone at the time could own a video recorder, and I was lying. (I put all this together years later).

My Mum had taped the audio on a reel-to-reel recorder so we could listen to it when we wanted.

The most shocking and dating part of this whole story is a poet being on TV.

Went to Walmart and picked up Donkey Kong Bananza and there was only one copy there. They may have sold some before I got mine but I kind of doubt that it was that many. That’s bananas!
