All costumes and vehicles are unlocked in Mario Kart World. Does anyone know the secret to unlocking mirror mode?

You unlock it in freeroam mode. Apparently nintendo sent out a mail dtailing how to do it and they got it wrong. It's that well hidden.

I wouldn't aim for it.

I remember it says you have to have won a trophy on all GPs and knockout mode and completed a certain amount of P missions.

And activate a number of panels and collect the peach coins.

Just keep playing free roaming once you've got the trophies.

Warner Bros. realigns games division: Focus on four core brands
06/18/25 - Warner Bros. is fundamentally restructuring its games division and will align WB Games with its four best-selling brands: Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat and the DC Universe. This is what Variety writes.

In the future, specialized divisions will work on games within these franchises. Three experienced managers from the company will take over the management: Yves Lachance will be responsible for development on Harry Potter and Game of Thrones as Senior Vice President, Shaun Himmerick will manage the projects on Mortal Kombat and DC. Steven Flenory will be responsible for central technologies, quality assurance, customer service and usage research across divisions.

All studios within WB Games will report to Lachance or Himmerick in the future, depending on the respective brand commitment of the project. For example, the Avalanche Software team, which is working on a new Hogwarts Legacy, will report to Lachance in the future. Rocksteady, with a focus on the DC universe, is overseen by Himmerick.

According to the company, the measure will take place without layoffs or changes in leadership. The aim of the restructuring is to develop long-term strategies for the key brands and to increase operational efficiency. CEO JB Perrette emphasizes the potential of the brands and praises the leadership of the three newly appointed division heads. The reorganization is intended to help develop high-quality games in a targeted and cross-brand manner.

Game of Thrones was an interesting IP for them to choose. Has there been a successful Game of Thrones video game yet? And there was no mention of the Lego games. That's WB right? Maybe they've just made a Lego version of every other IP on Earth and decided it's finally time to retire it?

"There's a key moment where we had a discussion, probably halfway [through] when we were doing the game, where he came to me and he said, 'We have a problem,'" Woodkid explained.

"Then he said, 'I'm going to be very honest, we have been testing the game with players and the results are too good. They like it too much. That means something is wrong; we have to change something.' And he changed stuff in the script and the way some crucial stuff [happens] in the game because he thought his work was not polarizing and not triggering enough emotions."

According to Kojima, "If everyone likes [your work], it means it's mainstream. It means it's conventional. It means it's already pre-digested for people to like it."

"I don't want that," Kojima reportedly told Lemoine. "I want people to end up liking things they didn't like when they first encountered it, because that's where you really end up loving something."

Death Stranding 2,

GG : Kojima is spouting nonsense as an in game character in Cyberpunk.

Dammit I just realised I could have whacked him. Or would the mission not allow me too?

So that Switch 2 battery extender seems interesting. I think the weight would be a problem.

You can buy a stick on magnetic ring, that's worth considering.

I wouldn't use it in case it left a mark when I went to take it off and sell it.

But I just realised you could use a command strip and find the lightest thinnest rechargeable powerbank and just snap it on and off.

The DK Direct was cool, definitely the Mario team right?

I'm excited. Love the voice acting for Pauline too.

Well, that certainly got me hyped.  Basically liked everything they showed.  Not sure if it's the Mario team though, there are traces of open world zelda in there and even Splatoon too.  Looks great although the visuals could have been better I feel.  Not sure if the destructible environments are taxing the Switch2 too hard, or if Nintendo still needs to find their feet with pushing graphics further.  Or perhaps they just didn't feel like pushing harder on that front.

Donkey Kong Bananza looks great and like it’ll be a lot of fun to play. The level of destructibility is pretty impressive. An easy day one purchase for me, can’t wait.

I love the texture work in DK Bananza. Looks like Nintendo pulled a Marvel and hid Pauline from us. Love it and have it preordered.

Got to admit, if Nintendo had shown this during the Switch 2 presentation, I might not have jumped at buying the PS5. This really looks fun.

It was their tactic to spite those without the fate.

3rd parties seem unhappy with sales of their games on the Switch2.  General concensus amongst gamers seems to be that that's what you get for porting old games and releasing them on gamekey cards.

Personally I think it's too short of a timeframe to come to any conclusions.  The cost of the unit itself probably means most people didn't buy much more than MKW, which will heavily impact launch window software sales.  Only those that released half assed efforts hoping to capitalize on that early drought of games will probably suffer in the end.

Are the kids alright?

Everybody loves palpating their turnips; just look at the success of Stardew Valley and its ilk for proof of that. But it turns out people really love some vegetable action, if the staggering success of Roblox game Grow a Garden is any indication, given it's seemingly smashed through Fortnite's previous gargantuan record for most players at the same time.

Let's break out some numbers. According to third-party monitoring tools, Grow a Garden - the specifics of which we'll get to shortly - soared past 16m concurrent players this weekend on Roblox (16,411,769 to be exact). By way of comparison, Fortnite announced record-breaking concurrents of 15.3m players during its Marvel season finale event back in Covid-era 2020.
