You know, I didn't realise how much I'd appreciate palling around with digital versions of real life actors, in Cyberpunk.
I'm not the biggest fan of Keanu Reeves or Idris Elba, but they are great In the game and it brings more life and personality to the game being with them.
Rather than playing as, them
At one point I thought, I wouldn't mind having a sarcastic Keanu Reeves making pithy comments during my every day life.
I'd like to play more games with big or bigger movie stars in them, accompanying you.

Yeah, I also really enjoy seeing big name actors in my games as well. That’s one big aspect that I’m looking forward to in Cyberpunk 2077, seeing Keanu Reeves and Indris Alba in the game.
Wouldn't mind joining Tom Cruise as part of the Mission Impossible team.
I'd rather be a team member with him as the mentor than play as him.
That's one of the things that bugs me about the new RoboCop game. You need to see RoboCop, the suit as you play. In first person it could be any FPS. Especially when he picks up different weapons.

They've really got long extended roles too, it's no cameo, Reeves is present most of the game.
It's always fun when he pops up at random moments doing stupid stuff or bitching about how things were done in his day.
I played some Ikari Warriors on 7800 today. I never had this one back in the day. It's brutal! The NES version is a cakewalk in comparison.
One thing I really like about the 7800 version is that if you hold the fire button, it locks you into whatever direction you are facing, allowing you to strafe easily. I'll be playing it some more tonight..

I loved Ikari Warriors. It was one of the first NES games I ever beat. The first sequel Victory Road was great too.
Oh wow. Had been seeing stuff about Hulk Hogan not doing well recently but wasn’t really expecting him to pass away. He was a huge part of creating what wrestling is today and a huge part of me getting into it when I was a kid. Shame that he was quite an asshole in real life though.

This is pretty much my thoughts. I was a huge Hulk mark back in the eighties. Now I don't care for the guy. Guess he did live long enough to see himself become the villain.
I find that the less I know about celebrities in real life the better.
I think celebrities should only talk when they are on the screen and only be seen at launch events. If they stuck to that, most of them would have better careers and happier lives.
Hogan was a real life turd, but I will always give him credit for being great with his fans. It really didn't matter what was going on, he would slip right into character when he was meeting people.
Case in point, back in the 2000s, a friend of mine would often go with his mom to work, who was a night nurse at a hospital in Tampa while she worked. And at 12 or 13 years old he would just hang out in the unused areas of the hospital and would make trips to the cafeteria or vending machines, etc.
One night on one of those trips he was in the elevator when who is standing next to him? Hulk Hogan. In a hospital gown and pushing a mobile IV stand. My friend said hi to him, and Hogan slipped right into character even in that state, telling him how great nurses like his mom is and how important it is to take care of your body, etc.
So yeah, guy who could do that in a hospital gown with his ass hanging out deserves some credit for that. But he deserves every single knock against him as well. And boy there were a lot of them.
The summer switch eshop sale has started.
Over 4200 games on sale.
153 from my wishlist. Some are new all time low prices.
If you're interested there's Eldest Souls, a highly rated pixel art souls like game for under $2
Sludge life is this weird retro looking 3D adventure game for under $3
Little Orpheus is under $3 a 2.5d cinematic platformer
Okinawa rush is around $6 I played the demo before it was removed. Seems to be a pixel Heart published game, same group as Ganryu 2.
Little Nightmares 2 for under $3
Tons more too. I picked up Witcher 3 complete as I'm greatly enjoying Cyberpunk
So this is pretty cool, a guy sent Digital Foundry a message saying Hitman had a secret performance mode on switch 2.
Basically they then tested it and found that using system settings, by dropping the resolution output to 1080p or 720p the framerate went up.
At 720p it even went up to 60fps. It seems like it's a system level thing.
I haven't read the full write up but it sounds like DLSS does a lot of the heavy lifting.
It's also relevant in the Nintendo Switch 2 welcome tour story above.

Very nice to hear that he’s in the game so much.

But a lot of the time normal weapons you acquire have better stats. So you have to choose between something that looks cool vs something more potent.
Shame you can't customise the look of your guns.
Does anyone know how the car colouring option works? I was hoping I would be able to copy the decals of cool looking graffiti cars. Gang member cars.

Yeah, I loved that as well. Seeing him throw Rocky around like a small child made me giddy.

It’s true what they say, “Never meet your heroes.”
We got lots of WCW before they merged.
