In the latest episode of Moore's Law is Dead Broken Silicon podcast, it has been revealed how some people at NVIDIA are confused that the next Nintendo console still isn't out, as the system was supposed to be released in 2023. While it is not yet known why the system still hasn't been released, there's the chance that this delay from the projected release window may have led to some changes to the system design that could impact its performance slightly.
The Nintendo Switch 2 was originally planned to use an 8 nanometers node, but this may have changed due to the console launching in 2025. Nintendo may also have moved to a smaller node, possibly from Samsung, for better power efficiency, more capacity, and reduced cost. As Moore's Law is Dead rightly points out, releasing a new system using a node from 2023 wouldn't be a smart move, as things have changed in the past few years. TSMC, for example, has improved its nodes since then, is charging less for them, and they are easier to produce. If a node shrink or any sort of hardware redesign was made to the Nintendo Switch 2, then there's the chance that it could hit around 4.5 teraflops in docked mode, as opposed to the rumored 4.0 teraflops reported some time back.

This is interesting. So we heard it was 8nm. Months ago Necro Felipe from Brasil Nintendo printed all the expected specs. If we compare it to the shipping data components tracking by Famiboards, it's almost identical to what Necro Felipe said months ago.
One interesting thing was his specs had 4nm listed as the node. If you pair this up with Moores Law is Dead, he was saying it would run at really high clocks in docked. A die shrink would allow for better battery and higher clock speeds.
It's all lining up nicely, we had Tom Henderson from insider gaming saying that Switch 2 would be getting a lot of PS5/Xbox Series multiplats said he was really impressed by Switch 2 technology.
Midori has leaked that all Sega and Atlus games are coming to Switch 2. We also had Square Enix saying they were committed to multiple platforms for big games, including Nintendo platforms.
Microsoft will be releasing on it, a lot of MS games are already on Switch.
I can see Capcom porting most of everything they do. I'm surprised they didn't attempt proper ports of RE7 to Switch.
Hopefully, Atari will release an Intellivison collection soon. I'd buy it if it's as well done as Atari 50th was..
I never owned or played an Intellivison either. I've watched a lot of videos about it on YT and it's looks like an upgraded Atari 2600 "Pro" model, so right up my nostalgic alley.
I'd definitely be down for Colecovision collection as well.Never owned an Intellivion but did play on one way back in the day. Recall playing a baseball game on it.
Man I’m old.
Playing Hellblade 2 on the XSX and it’s quite a stunning looking game. Facial mo-cap animations look amazing with incredible detail. Environment looks gorgeous as well. Some really cool effects also.

Sadly Arcade only I think. Good news is the company making it has a some old Midway people behind it. And the return of the original announcer!
SC3K really was the pinnacle for me. God how many hours I sank into it.
Did you get it through Steam?
I have an Intellivision but never played it (I only have one game for it). Yet another thing I should move on.
I'm sure it'll see a home port in a year just like their Crusin' Blast.
I got it on Gog.
