It might have changed with the PS5, but as far as the PS4 goes you could only stream PS3 games through PlayStation Plus. And honestly, they never streamed well.

I forgot about their streaming service. It was terrible on PS4; never bothered to try it on PS5.

Yeah. Sony should have been held in detention and made to make the PS3 library work on the PS4. It is so shoddy that the best they could come up with was... uh we have a server farm of PS3's you can stream from.... No fuck you. You made the PS3 the technical abomination it was, now FIX IT.

I love the PS3's library, it really is one of my most favorite generations, which is why I'd like to see better PS3 support.

I think Sony has also discovered that there might be more money to be made from remasters and compilations rather than trying to fix the architecture so that those games play natively. So I'm afraid most of our original PS3 games are going to be locked to our PS3 forever.

There isn't much on PS3 that I can't play elsewhere already.

I hope Namco remasters their Ridge Racer 1-7 series someday.
