At a certain point Doom 2016 started being more Metroid in its platforming and it felt a bit weird when it was overused. That cylinder chamber went up forever.

Got that game a few years ago in the Slayer's bundle, but mainly to have Doom 3 again and merely try the others. Doom 3 was my first Doom, and I've barely touched the original and 2016. They're not my thing. I want something like Doom 3 again, but series fans would likely say the opposite, as it was nothing like the rest of the series, before or since. Give me another slower-paced horror FPS, id!

Agreed. Doom 3 fits my gameplay style much better.

I don't mind Doom 3, but it needs better aiming. I'm trying to think of slow paced FPS. Bioshock?

While I streamed Yoshi's story this weekend, I had a serious old man moment. Most of my viewers who engaged talked about how much they enjoyed playing Yoshi's story as a kid and how they still love it today. And then one of them asked me, "did you play that when you were in high school?" With just a slight insinuation that I seemed too old to have been playing it back on the N64.

I thought about it for just a second and realized, no, I didn't play that until I was in college. And then I paused a little bit longer and remembered I actually didn't play it until right after I graduated college. So yeah, a bunch of 30-year-olds were making me feel old today. Fuckers.

This weekend, I've been playing Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (Genesis). I beat the game but was unable to get all of the Chaos Emeralds in order to see the good ending; I got five of them, so not bad. I will make another attempt soon.

I've also been playing Ninja Gaiden (NES). My hands, thumbs and wrists all hurt. Fuck this game.

This weekend, I just kind of goofed off with a couple of games after finishing South Park. I played a little of Halo Infinite and started a game of Ninja Gaiden II Black.

Been playing Ninja Gaiden II Black this weekend. Man I love this game. Graphical upgrade is quite nice.

Aside from Yoshi's Story and Snap, I've been playing Vampyre. At least I'm trying to. I think I'm trying to complete missions too early because I constantly die. Plus the damn game has crashed on me 3 times.
