Hell yeah I got it. Got it for Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Tbh some of these Capcom collections annoy me, as there's a lot of crossover.

Like the Arcade Collection has a lot of games I already own in the Beat em up collection.

Plus there's like 50 versions of Streetfighter and I can't decide what version to buy individually.

The arcade stadiums at least let you buy games individually but the recent offerings don't have that option.

I'm still weighing up whether to spend £6 on a few Capcom fighters or £16 on a lot of guff I won't play.

Still waiting on Alien vs Predator.

I almost bought the Streetfighter collection before realising Capcom sells items a bundle with the Fighting Collection.

Yeah, I bought the Street Fighter 30th anniversary bundle. It had something like 12 different Street Fighter games on it. I probably played it for a total of 2 hours.

Anyone try Ultra Streetfighter 2, the Switch one?

Does it include Super Streetfighter or Alpha characters playable?

So I wanted to get Famicom detective club physically, only to learn the only physical version is in Japanese.

And the digital version is £50

Meanwhile Emio the smiling Man, the new game in the series is releasing physically and is only £30.

Wtf?

As is the Splatoon 3 expansion.

I just finished watching today's direct and I think the one game I'm genuinely interested in was Moth Kubit. It's some kind of RPG where you play as a moth working in a corporate office? Looks strange as hell, but it actually does seem to work. I'll keep my eye on that one, and hope that it isn't just a switch exclusive, which honestly is pretty unlikely.

Oh, and the new Rune Factory looks like crap. It's remarkable how the best game in the series was on the Wii. The handheld ones on the DS and 3DS weren't bad by any means, but they just haven't found a way to move the series forward.

Boy do I have some impressions! Let's start with Wukong which I played since last week, I'm on world 3 and loving it. The game is beautiful, combat is extremely fun to play with, bosses are so varied and well done. Level design is fine, it's no souls in that regard but I appreciate the great side quests that lead to entire optional levels and bosses. Everything you find leads to some good rewards that give you some much needed new powers. It's paced so damn well, I am always adding elements to the combat and the bosses make great use of it. They are tough, they do attack furiously at times but unlike ER you do more damage and take less than that game, if you use all your skills right the bosses are beatable rather quickly. It doesn't feel like you are bashing your head in for hours to beat a boss. This one is great, any action game fan should get it.

Last two days have been nothing but Star Wars Outlaws! I saw the reviews, it's a Ubi game I didn't expect much, you kind of know the formula. And yes the game feels like a bunch of other games you played before like AC style sneaking, uncharted platforming, watch dogs like level interactions, and even RDR dead eye meters. This game is not reinventing the formula, what it does do extremely well is take that formula and blanket it was pure Star Wars adventure. They nail the feel, the look and atmosphere of being in that galaxy.

that's kind of what I wanted, I wanted to live out a Star Wars adventure and here I am in the seedy underground, evesdropping on conversations about stolen goods being hidden. I broke into a a storeroom and found a data pad with a tip that the next whatever horse like race is rigged and who to bet on, so I did and made plenty of money. I have to decide which faction to support, I'm on a Pyke controlled planet so it's beneficial to be in their good graces as I can roam free around there bases but I have crimson dawn agents paying me a ton to steal from them... but if I do it stealthily pykes will never know it's me. I am loving that balance.

I have my spaceship now and there is a full takeoff and planet landing animation... Starfield looking at you... space fights are basic but fun. First space mission had me infiltrate an imperial spacestation, I had to go through ducts and engine rooms to avoid detection. It ended with everything going to shit, I'm in a big blaster shoot out in the hanger, I run into the ship and take off while TIEs chase me, this is what I have always wanted.

oh and Sabaac is a fantastic card mini game. Well worth a Ubi+ sub to play this.

Another one I thought died decades ago. We still have Jello Biafra.

Google's telling me he died in '79?

edit: oh, there's a wrestler who goes by the same name  indecision  At least he can take comfort in having long outlived his musical counterpart.

edit-edit: and after googling Jello Biafra, I see I'm not the only one who mixed up the 2.  That or Aspro was joking and I've just proven to live under a rock.

I was talking about lead singer of teh Dead Kennedys, one of my favorite bands for sure.

Well, my mom, sister, and one of my co-workers tested positive for Covid. My mom and sister have had every shot and booster and they still catch this shit...twice now? WTF?

I feel fine so far, but I really don't want this again for the third fucking time. Oh well. Sad

In my community at least (not sure if it applies to other parts of Australia) COVID doesn't exist anymore. Or if it does people just say they have "the flu". I'll say this though, about the only good thing that came out of that era of our lives is that there is almost no-one catching colds anymore (at least where I am) because people are still good about hand washing and anti-bacterial use.

That sounds legitimately great, except the part where you say it's a Ubisoft game Nyaa

Tried the Epic Mickey demo last night.

It looks awfully like the Wii version running through Mclassic.

The game felt a bit generic, until you get given the thinner and paintbrush.

The gyro controls bring the game to life and I'd gladly play the game again on discount.

I'd be careful what version you choose to play this as without gyro it feels wrong.

The redone cutscenes are nice.

It really feels somewhat magical, as far as 3D platformers go.

It was an 8/10 game back then but I think I appreciate it more given how generic most 3D platformers are.

It's evident that Spector and the team poured a lot of love into the game.

I need to play it on the 4ktv to see if it looks better than on the 1080p set.

Epic Mickey was magical on Wii. The only issue I had with it was the frustrating camera. Hopefully that's fixed now.

Seems fine to me in the demo.

The gyro controls are actually better than the Wii version.
