I didn't get any further then about 10 minutes of Laya on my phone, as we went out sailing for the weekend. It was relatively sunny and the wind was just right to be enjoyable. Longest streatch of consecutive 'good' weather we've had all year. Hopefully this turns the tide and spring can finally begin, because we'll be going sailing again soon.
I was looking forward to picking up Endless Ocean. Oh well.

VR is a geek's dream, but it's just a curiosity for most people. That's why I believe most people only watch 3D movies at the theater, rather than at home.
I'd still like to try VR.
It's the costs though, you have to weigh it up vs other systems. And try it in person.
The 3D I've seen in cinemas was terrible.
I've only seen one 3D film in the theaters: Avatar. It was blurry AF and gave me a headache. I assume I'm in the minority, though, since it was popular for a long time.
Best examples of good 3D ironically are 3DS games as they don' t have the horsepower, nor resolution to attempt motion blurring.
Yeah, I enjoyed playing games in 3D on 3DS. I could play with that no problem.
AR has a lot more potential than VR, especially for special situations like you mentioned. Average people don't seem to know or care about it much, unless there's Pokemon involved, so maybe it just needs more killer apps.
I mean try it for free.
You know what, they should do a 60 day trial with free return. Like QVC.
Unless a friend owned one I'd never try it.
I really only want PSVR2. To play Gran Turismo 7. $550 is too much.
Thanks for listening, a short show this time around. Clearly Zuckerberg knows something I don't.
You are right, are steroscopes neat? Yes. Is looking at a photo good enough? Yes. I'd still like to try it though.
I am exactly in your camp. Very tempted, but not going to not try before I buy on a $550 purchase.
Hitting the road for a week and a half. I expect I'll be on the computer 2 hours a day for work, so I'll try and check in and do news, but I'll be less around. Today at work was busiest day of the year, so I am zonked.
What resolution do you need for good VR?
Nintendo announced that they would make an announcement this fiscal year on Switch 2.
But their June N.Direct would not feature it, having back half of 2024 switch games.
I traded in a bunch of old games for a bunch of old games (360)
Evil Within
PREY
Dead Island
FFXIII
Watchdogs
The Adventures of Tintin
I was also looking at cheap PS4 games. Regarding PS4, is there anything I should know about different versions? Are they all backwards compatible? We're there any inherent design flaws with particular versions?
What HDD size is good to get etc.
Didn't it have a really short controller charge cable?
