I got one when I was 45. Not looking forward to another one.
Played Slay the Spire, Suika Game and some RE4. Bummed that I have just a regular old release of RE4, it has not been remastered in any way, which is fine, but I was expecting a re-master not a re-release (I should have paid more attention).
My daughter became engaged with the Switch this weekend and is playing some fairly complicated games for a new gamer (she beat some Paw Patrol games when she was 4 then went off gaming until Suika Game has drawn her back in and now she's bouncing between Suika Game, Mario Kart 8, Princess Peach demo and anything else she thinks looks interesting.(including Mario 64, which she liked). She identified Mario Sunshine as "not very good".
Like myself, she found Minecraft incomprehensible (I could not figure out how to even get past the start screen, now they want you to login or something).
Yeah, not for me. It's already impossible to see a doctor even if I was dying.
Which is an excuse as even if doctors were falling out of the trees, I barely tolerate the barber touching my head, would never consider a massage or chiropractor and would rather die of cancer than let a doctor see any more of me other than taking my shirt off. Which is a horrible attitude, which I apologize for. I've had a lot of family die of cancer which is ... beyond words.
Paper Mario is a great series, up to and including the last one on Switch. Very charming, and enjoyable combat hooks.
I don't observe MAR10 day. It's jsut been commericalised so much over the decades. I remember back when I was a kid it really meant something.
I spent 138 hrs in the world to do everything. I could put in another 5 hours just to tweak my team for max damage output.
I did spend a bit levelling up high to beat the boss. Probably overdid it.
Can it be played offline? I haven't had a switch online account for ages.
So I've been playing Eastward Octopia.
It's DLC but I hear you can get it without the main game.
It's Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon in the Eastward world. Really enjoying this twist.
It takes a few cues from Animal Crossing. I've now got a barn, chicken coop, several fields, a cellar, a bath house etc.
I've upgraded everything. There's a swamp and beach for gathering, a train station where visitors arrive. There's cooking. Lovely pixel art.
Yeah, it's single player. I played it just yesterday in airplane mode to preserve battery.
Great
Saying it'll out-graphic Ratchet and Clank is a big claim to make. But LM games have always been visual stunners, so there's no doubt a new one would look great as well. As for the length, I hope that's not true. I found LM3 to be a bit overlong already.
Holy Shit. That's a commitment.
I really loved the game so bled out every single side quest and cave. Also spent another 10 hours just levelling. I think 80hrs is a more realistic playtime. Its so easy to play offscreen, it never feels like a chore to play.
I find games like this where I can have the TV on in the background, are the easiest to put in the hours for on Switch.
I think Zippos talking out his backside. But I do prefer the animation in LM3 to what I've seen of a Rift apart.
When I ran LM3 in 2k through the Mclassic it actually did look pretty amazing. Metroid Prime remastered too.
Some disturbing rumor, a youtube poll has appeared floating the name of Switch Attach. Anyone remember the weird patent where it looked like they attached a screen to another screen? Hope this isn't the gimmick.
How many people will need a spare screen to give to a friend for local multiplayer?
That is disturbing.
Anyone remember the Genesis Attach?
I remember the NES having some kind of port in the bottom middle of the system. Don’t think they ever utilized it for anything. Kind of wish we got that disk drive add on for the N64.
