Question on the PS5; I've been put off by the large updates most games force on you this generation. I have a 100 GB cap each month (really it's 50GB cap, you have to use the other 50GB between 2am and 6am - and it's not a matter of $$$ it's the only available option I have where I live). Are the downloads on PS5 as onerous as I fear?

PS5 Outsells SNES That was quick.

That's some good journalism there aspro, to juxtapose the article about the PS5 outselling the SNES with another article adding nuance.

Wtf is this?!
Enjoying Octopath Traveler II, but I wish all RPGs had a team level that raised all characters consistently like the Xenoblade games.
Here you end up with 4 powerful beasts and 4 completely under utilised characters who are so weak I have no desire to swap them in and experiment.
At least it will give a replay more value. Need to replay the first game too.
Otherwise have a few criticisms, mostly the Job system locks the story into some boring ass corners. The merchant wants to earn money to alleviate poverty. The dancer unsurprisingly wants to be a star, the apothecary wants to go around healing people. It can lead to some extremely slow, banal story bits that drag on foe ages.
Also the voice acting director seems to have wanted to showcase regional American accents. But they're obviously faking the accents. Hearing hokey cowboys and fake Southern accents is pretty bad.
I went back to Lke a Dragon after falling off of a boss battle last year, turns out I am 24 hours into the game, so I figured I'd give it another go and broke through the boss, so I'm back riding the dragon again.
Don't you feel like a pallet cleanser bewteen RE games? I typically need to go from one type of game to another.
Been playing a bit more Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and this time using the hammer. Also hopped back into God of War: Ragnarok.
Nah. Once I'm hooked on a gameplay style, I'll keep playing it for a long while. I really struggled with aiming in RE2, but I've gotten it down now. And I'm having a lot of fun with these games. If I went for a pallet cleanser, I'd likely lose my current (albeit mediocre) skillset and it would be more difficult for me to get back into them again.
